Will have impeccable service. My steak and wife's lamb were cooked to perfection. We had a wonderful dining experience and will return when we travel through LaGrange in the future.
I feel badly rating the service as poor. The server was actually a lovely young man who tried hard. The issue is how darned slow everything was. We were there for close to 2 hours ... we ordered as quickly as we could. Turns out the kitchen services two restaurants and this one does not get priority. Really did enjoy the food when it came. The squash soup was great, the clams were good, the filet was excellent (although too large for me), and the rack of lamb was also excellent.
Last customer of the evening and the staff went out their way to make us feel special. Great food and wonderful staff!
Very underwhelming.
For starters we waited 30 minutes for drinks, another 30 for bread and for our order to be take. Wife’s cocktail was tiny and not good for $14. I ordered the lump crab and avocado, wife had a ceaser salad as appetizers. My crab was a small golf ball sized lump of cold flavorless crab, with a sliced avocado covering it. Expected much more for $20. My wife’s salad was decent. Our entrees came out and were very good. I had the butter poached lobster and it was incredibly tender, sides were very well seasoned and cooked right just cold by time they made it. My wife’s filet was great, as were the sides… COLD sides though. All were good, just cold.
All in all I think they’re trying too hard to be fancy. It’s a nice place, and I like the small simple menu but it just wasn’t worth the $180 I spent on dinner. Won’t be back.
Extra points for the delicious cold Michelobs I guess. Waited so long I had time to drink 6 and every one was as tasty as the first one

Great place. Jack and Will behind the bar are excellent. We have dined all over the world and I will say that this is one of the better meals we experienced. Top notch. I highly recommend.
We visited a weekend from Huntsville Alabama and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Our server was top notch! My dry aged NY strip was perfect and every other course was excellent. Best dining experience I've had in a while. Huntsville needs something like this.

Made reservations and took my wife for 17th anniversary and they had 6 entrees on the menu the first two we ordered were not available (no salmon or Duck). I politely asked for check, very disappointed and will not be back. Server was nice but poor

Here's a brief summary of what happened: I ordered the lobster. Server told me I just got the last one. Meal was delivered as a chicken wrap. When I informed them this wasn't what I ordered, I was told that the lobster order had been canceled. Server appeared and then it seemed the entire restaurant staff disappeared into the kitchen. Server returned to tell me a mistake had been made on their part and they were making the lobster now. We asked for my husband's meal to be remade so we could dine together. Lobster arrived at room temperature with the jus and crab fritters so overly salted as to be inedible. Husband's trout was disappointing. Server said manager only agreed to take $20 off the total bill. Manager NEVER came by our table to apologize or speak to us.

They tried to be fancy but it really wasn't very good, Not bad mind you, but for the price you pay, I expect a lot more than just "ok". Small portions of mediocre food at high prices. The service was at a novice level. And their online menu is nothing like the menu when you get there. All the items we were going for weren't on the menu any longer!

Was seated promptly upon arrival. One of the menu items was changed but weren't informed until after ordering. Bottle beer I ordered wasn't very cold. Food was good. I'm not much of a fancy eater so I ordered the Caesar Salad and my wife ordered the Filet Mignon. To me the salad wasn't worth the price but the Filet Mignon my wife ordered was tasty. Would have ordered what they changed on the menu had they mentioned the change. Overall was a good experience. Just wasn't for me. Still rate it 4 out of 5
TripAdvisor and OpenTable rated this the top restaurant in LaGrange. I love finding non-chain, independently owned restaurants to dine in. This was a great spot. My team of 4 had a cozy table in the back with a beautiful really high-backed white banquette. We were sheltered from the cluster of tables up front and able to have easy conversation. The menu is very simple, which is frankly a relief. Not too much to choose from and each are artfully crafted in perfect portions. Two of my team had the butter lobster that looked fantastic. I had the trout which I loved - a go-to for me at restaurants. And our other colleague had the duck. And...we started with a round of the bourbon cocktails that did not disappoint. Only wish was for more shareable appetizer options beyond the charcuterie. If you find yourself in quaint and lovely LaGrange, I recommend this spot, especially if you are a foodie like me!
I took my aunt to dinner tonight and, after several attempts, our meal just never met our expectation. We ordered the short rib and the filet - medium rare. The steak was overcooked, my potatoes were cold, the sweet potatoe hash left much to be desired. The short rib was stuffed inside of pasta, which the waitress should have mentioned since we asked several questions about the preparation of this dish. She didn’t know the menu and she clearly didn’t understand how the dish was served. The Brussels sprouts were great; we were happy to have something we could eat. After spending 2 hrs trying to receive a meal prepared properly, we still spent $77 and needed to buy food at another restaurant in town. We were so disappointed.
