First things first, they were running a limited menu so they didn't give us menus. Bathrooms were extremely dirty, ceiling fans looks like they haven't been used in years, our table was dirty and sticky. There were both flies and wasps all inside. I worked in a restaurant for 4 years so I try not to leave negative reviews but this was the worst experience I've had at a restaurant. Was told they were out of fries, so we ordered other sides. They never told us it was an upcharge. Was charged $16 for 8 low quality, small pieces of shrimp. Food is extremely low quality for how much it costs. Will never be returning. Was charged a service fee which is supposedly for the army core of engineers and to run credit cards, but most likely does not change if you pay with cash. Waitress was fine, not the best, not the worst, but didn't inform us of any prices after not offering a menu or any upcharges whatsoever.

DO NOT RENT A BOAT FROM THIS PLACE. We rented a boat this past weekend and paid well over $500 dollars for this boat. It was covered in spider webs and spiders and there were cockroaches inside where the life jackets were located. When we tried to use the ladder to get into the water we released there was no ladder, only one step ABOVE the water line. One of our attendees got all scratched up and bruised trying to get back into the boat without a ladder. We were offered to change boats. We had to drive this boat ALL the way back to the dock, we were about 45 minutes away. Then we were told we had to pay for all the gas we had already consumed even though we had to STOP and drive all the way back to get a new boat. The new boat was covered WORSE in spider webs and all the cup holders were filled with water. When we drove away and attempted to use THIS ladder it literally pulled out of the floor on the VERY FIRST USE! So we weren't able to swim at all! When we returned to the dock we had to pay for all the gas on that boat and when we asked to speak with a manager to get some assistance on ALL the issues we had, we were told they were TOO BUSY and someone would call us this week. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE AND POORLY RUN! Oh and to top it off the bathrooms in the restaurant area were literally flooded. When you flushed the toilet, water GUSHED out around the base. The bathrooms were like a small lake. I have rented boats here in the past and never had these issues. Whoever is running this place now, needs some serious help!

I rented a cabin for 1. walked in to terrible odor. So lets gets started. Sofa- sank to the floor when you sat- horrible. Poor lighting. Mold in shower and some nasty fish mouth over the shower head that was nasty. Could'nt even shower the 2nd day. Decor is so outdated. Dirt all over the sills and wood ledges. The bed was comfortable. I did walk in to dead roaches- not sure when cleaned last . The windows- filthy- made lake view bad. Oh and the grill that you can use- NASTY. Wasnt even usable. This place needs a major overhaul. Will not be returning. I should have left and got my money back

My husband and I stayed at the RV “resort” ( nothing resort like about it!) for one night. We had scheduled 2 nights but barely made it through one. We registered online due to arriving after 5:00 pm. When we got to the campground we found our site, 117, to be a muddy pit. No gravel, no concrete pad, just mud. The site was rather wide and the water hookup was on one side and the electric on the other. Site 115 next to us had a concrete pad but it ‘s electric pole was on the ground. There were cats roaming all over the campground and our car. There were multiple buzzards flying around. The 30 amp power didn’t work. If we hadn’t had the 50 amp adapter, we would have been out of luck. I didn’t step foot in the public restroom. My husband told me I would not like it. The kicker is the Hooch Hideaway, a seedy bar just across a small cove from the campground played loud rock/country music until 2:00 am. I had to sleep with ear buds playing rain sounds in order to sleep. Don’t stay here!

Terrible service. The restaurant was about half capacity and not busy. After we were seated, we waited 20 minutes before being noticed by a waitress. She took our drink order, then we didn't see her again. 25 minutes later, we flagged down another waitress to tell her we were leaving. Not a single server looked us in the eye the whole time we were there.

This place is false advertisement and looks are deceiving on the Website. REALLY a 3.7 stars on google is way to generous . My husband and I work, so we called the office and asked what time will the office close cause we won't arrive till after 7. We was told that we have to pay the balance and sign and email back the rules, and we can just go to the site. We have a boat where do we park the boat?? They said well when you get here we will give you , your boat tags . OK..... So we get there its after hours . Doors lock at the registration office/ store , they have a after hours check in box but we wasn't given a code, NO CELL SERVICE OR INTERNET. So I went to the Restaurant/ Bar and asked for some kind of directions. The map on the site look like a child drew it with a pencil. So we get to site 109. The site was dirt and rocks and leaves and large sticks and sloped. The power was shared with a permanent resident , camper . There was a lot of extension cords and cable cords, which is on the opposite side . Lucky we have a extension power cord adapter and Surge protector, the water spicket is all the way on the ground .They have ALOT of Large Black Vultures, all on the campers and trees EVERYWHERE!!!!!!. They also have a lot of Stray cats everywhere .The next morning we went to the office and asked about the boat pass and told them about the site - she offed to move us but we was already set up. The lady gave us or boat pass and told us where to dock our boat after we launch . The restaurant had live bands Friday & Sat night so it was loud till almost 12pm, . We have been to a lot of campgrounds but this was the worse. We will not EVER Recommend this campground to any of our friends or family. FIND A DIFFERENT CAMPGOUND!!!!!!!!

If I could leave a zero I would! I rented a 3 bedroom dockside cabin for my husbands birthday weekend. I paid over $600 for 2 nights here. The unit was absolutely DISGUSTING! The floors and carpet were sticky! All the dishes, appliances, counter tops were dirty. WE COULD NOT SHOWER, FLUSH THE TOILETS, OR WASH DISHES! We had to plunge all facilities every time we used it. The beds are so worn out you roll in the middle of the bed. The TV and WiFi did not work. The deck is so rotten someone is going to fall through any minute! They had a fly bag on the deck with 1000’s of dead flies laying on the deck. The stench was so incredibly bad you had to hold your breath to get down to the dock. The fridge was rusted and barely cold! When I raised these concerns to the desk her nonchalant attitude was despicable. She said she would let her manager know but refused to provide his contact information to me. I invited several couples to join us this weekend but when they arrived they were so disgusted they would not stay. I was completely embarrassed! I would never recommend these cabins to anyone!!!!

Went their this evening 7-16-21 for a quick birthday dinner..This place is awesome. Very laid back. We got there right at opening and the waiters and waitresses we're wiping down tables and setting up. Our waitress (If the receipt was right,named Alley) she was excellent kept our drinks full and very nice. The grilled po boy and the smoked tuna dip was the bomb! Heidi and her crew are the best... I highly recommend it y'all ?

First, I have never left a 1-star review, but had to this time. I have been a full-time camper since last August and have visited at least 25 campgrounds. We have enjoyed previous visits to this resort. However, we were incredibly disappointed in how run down and trashy this place has become since our last visit in 2018. The campground had trash everywhere, sites were unlevel to the point of being dangerous, and don’t even get me started on the bathrooms! The restaurant handed us filthy paper menus, the food bordered on inedible, and it was way overpriced. They weren’t even sure what kind of fish they served us after not telling us they were out of what we had ordered. The beach area was covered in tree debris, trash, and, an apparently abandoned, rotting and rusted jet ski. Full time campers have pets penned and tied outside. One camper left tons of dog food out to feed the wild animals, which led to vultures being everywhere (including our roof)! So many feral cats that the entire campground smelled like cat urine. The cabins were no better. Our extended family was in a 10 person cabin. Filthy! Pergo flooring covering literal holes in the subfloor. Stairs to dock rotting in places enough so that my 70 something yr old FIL fell and hurt himself. Boards on dock completely rotted or pulling away from the support beams. Huge tripping hazard. Did I mention all the trash?!?! Management and owners were contacted and showed no remorse or concern. Don’t waste your money. Plenty of other places to stay near the lake.

The service was ok. The server could have come around and checked on us. It's all about teaching customer service. She was busy, I get it. The food was good.. Cheeseburger and fries. . Nice portion. This was my first visit and I'll definitely go again. Can't let a thunderstorm ruin your evening out. Enjoyed the music as well.

This place has the potential to be a great eatery but I talked to a few customers and none liked the food, half of the people I talked to explained to me that they eat before arriving at the restaurant. I tried the cheese sticks and I don’t know how you mess up cheese sticks but they did… never had a sweet cheese stick in my life. Everything seems like frozen food.. do not recommend… my draft beer was also a little watery. 2 of 5 stars just because of the atmosphere.
