The place is beautifully decorated! Dillon was our server and was very attentive and friendly. The food though! Oooooh my GOD! I forget what this is called…tostones I think. I got the pork on it (carnitas). Soooo good! LOOK AT IT! Beautiful! Tastes even better than it looks! We definitely don’t have this kind of perfection in Newnan!

My daughters food came out wrong (ordered kids taco meal) received the burrito meal. No biggie had them fix it. Well when it came back out the meat inside the (still) burrito, still had many pink pieces. Along with the beans having hair in them.

My wife and I went here for Valentines Day lunch The food was great with no complaints. Only issue was the service. After receiving our food the waitresses never came back to check on us. Never received a refill on my sweat tea and had to wait 15 minutes to get my bill and a togo box. The restaurant was only average full. We had been a week earlier for dinner with the restaurant was full with no issues. I give it a thumbs up as every place has issues and don't judge by one visit.
We’ve eaten at Monarca in LaGrange, Georgia more than once now, and it continues to impress.
Walking in, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. When we’ve been there for lunch, it’s had a more intimate, relaxed vibe, but you can tell this place could throw a great party too. It just has that kind of energy.
The service is consistently kind and welcoming. My wife has some dietary restrictions, and the staff took the time to walk through options so she could order confidently. That level of care matters.
I ordered the mango salad (fantastic), tried some of her soup, which was similar to tortilla soup, just without the tortillas, and then went all in on a dish with beef, plantains, and all kinds of goodness layered together. The photo on the menu sold me, and it absolutely delivered.
The plates themselves are simple, but the food is beautifully put together and full of color. Portions are generous, I took half of mine home for lunch the next day, and it was just as good reheated.
The price point is very affordable, especially compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area. For the quality, portion size, and overall experience, it’s a great value.
This wasn’t our first visit, and it definitely won’t be our last. I’d recommend Monarca for just about anything, date night, family dinner, or a relaxed lunch.
