Some of the best southern food I've ever had. The outside looks a little off-putting but the food is so good and the ladies inside were so nice. Next time we're at Great Wolf Lodge we will definitely be coming back to Shirley'

Best biscuits and banana pudding my kids said they ever had. Shirley was there sitting down and eating herself. She as well as the other ladies were polite and such a pleasure. The building is super retro but clean. Hole in the wall as it's behind a truck stop . I had pork steak. squash. macaroni and cheese and potato salad. My mother said her tilapia was really good.Kid-friendliness: They have kid prices

I wish I could give this place zero stars because they don't deserve not one. Food is awful boxed mac/cheese, frozen and canned beans , turnips . Lima beans have been heated so much until they are brown. Worst $14.00 I ever spent. Talk with the owner Mrs. Shirley she wasn't really concerned as long as the sale was final. Never

Little buffet style diner right off the highway, I knew soon as I walked in it was going to be good! I came in just before the lunch rush, so i got to try a bit of everything. Fried chicken was seasoned up right, chicken pot pie crust was nice and flaky, the greens were good (not too much salt) and cabbage was delicious. I had never tried rutabaga before but that ended up being my favorite side. Oh and the macaroni had that good baked brown layer of cheese on the top ? Had some peach cobbler and sweet tea to wash it all down, for $15 it's definitely worth the stop!

The food was some of the best country cooking I have ever had! The owner was sitting in the dining room so I got to tell her. Older truck stop restaurant so don’t expect much of the building. Just go for the food!

So hard to find a non-chain restaurant on the interstate. Okay so we didn’t actually eat here because they weren’t open but it looks great and the bathrooms at the truck stop were very clean.
