Good, down-home Southern cooking. Splendid Events is the type of cafeteria which once dotted the street-scape of small towns in the American South. There is no over the top decor. The atmosphere is simple. They (rightfully so) concentrate on one thing - good food. And in that, they have succeeded.

This place has the best southern country and soul food around. Chicken, pork chops, meat loaf, lots of vegetables and mighty good corn muffins and macaroni and cheese. The people there are friendly and helpful as well. I have eaten there a number of times and it is always good. Sunday after church can get busy but they will take good care of you. They also open for breakfast and that is good too . I can’t wait until Tuesday to go back again.

Hubby and I tried this place for the first time! Very spacious for a Wed morning. The servers were very polite. Food was great. Worth the price. For the two of us it was $22 I think! Never tasted their dinner, but the lunch was very good! I recommend their breakfast if you want a home style taste. I have pics too. Thanks!

My mom mostly eats there and she loves it, I say 3 stars because I don't eat most of the stuff they cook, but the tines I've ate there it was pretty good.
Parking: It literally be nowhere to park and I understand cause it's up town where there is alot of other places as well so some days you literally have nowhere to park.
