This place has the best southern country and soul food around. Chicken, pork chops, meat loaf, lots of vegetables and mighty good corn muffins and macaroni and cheese. The people there are friendly and helpful as well. I have eaten there a number of times and it is always good. Sunday after church can get busy but they will take good care of you. They also open for breakfast and that is good too . I can’t wait until Tuesday to go back again.

Hubby and I tried this place for the first time! Very spacious for a Wed morning. The servers were very polite. Food was great. Worth the price. For the two of us it was $22 I think! Never tasted their dinner, but the lunch was very good! I recommend their breakfast if you want a home style taste. I have pics too. Thanks!

My mom mostly eats there and she loves it, I say 3 stars because I don't eat most of the stuff they cook, but the tines I've ate there it was pretty good.Parking: It literally be nowhere to park and I understand cause it's up town where there is alot of other places as well so some days you literally have nowhere to park.

My husband and I were in LaGrange to handle some business and Splendid Events was recommended to us for an after-funeral reception. I spoke with Miss Janice over the phone, and she was very friendly and welcoming. She gave us menu options and told us everything would be taken care of. I even called the day before our dinner to reconfirm, and she put me at ease that everything was good to go. After the funeral service our group of almost 20 made our way to Splendid Events. There is public parking available nearby, and there was plenty of street parking when our group showed up. The food was served cafeteria style, the staff was friendly and patient with us. The fried chicken, and baked chicken were both really good. We had lima beans and green beans for the vegetable, macaroni and cheese and rolls to round off the plates. Drinks were also included, lemonade or sweet tea. Everyone enjoyed the food; the establishment was clean and welcoming. Definitely hope to go back and try more of the menu.

Miss Janice was so gracious during our phone conversation to make reservations for our large group and reassured me there was nothing I'd have to worry about.
