First time and won’t be the last!

We thought we found a gem in our small town so we decided to bring our kids back. My son order a plate that had something we didn't catch on the item and he wouldn't eat it. Mind you he is a small child. I ask the waiter if they could remake without the sauce and she came back and said there was nothing she could do, I said fine we won't return. Then the owner or manager came out after they refused to remake And she proceeded to tell me they're a small business and would be losing product. So we lose our money we work hard for. My son goes hungry???? Very unprofessional. Also she proceeded to tell me how what we order was on the menu. She stood there trying to argue with me. With my 2 small children sitting there with us. WE WONT EVER BE BACK. Then she proceeds to tell me she has young teenagers working here. Ok. All I said is we won't return, i never cusssed or anything. I too am in restaurant business and do not ever treat my customers like this. Someone needs to learn how to run a business. We would of visit this location several more times but due to this lady we will never return. And to think a smaller business would treat us like that. People who live in the community. I would of done anything for any of my customers and do daily in all my restaurants. This restaurant needs better morals. Especially in our small town. I will let everyone know of our experience here. That way they never have to have an experience like we did. It was Halloween too. We just wanted dinner. But I guess it was to much to ask. We was going to make them broke over remaking one plate for my child. How sad. I would of even paid for it. Money isn't the issue. But I rather take my business to the next food place. Maybe they'll treat us like human beings

I was there about a 2 weeks ago and the lady in the front was rude and they said that run out of ribs and they would not replace it

Nice establishment inside and a very nice crew ! I sampled almost everything today. Here's my findings. The pulled pork was a little dry but had good smokey flavor. The brisket was not the best . It lacked moisture and flavor. The macaroni and cheese was nothing special. The fried jalapeño appetizer is great . The stew to me was one of the worst stews ive ever eaten , the southern slaw was mediocre. The bbq beans were okay but ive definitely had better. The chicken strips are some of the best around . They were out of ribs at opening on a Wednesday which was disappointing since they can be prepared the same day as service
. All said and done its okay. Some things are good and some are bad . Personally for the quality of food compared to price I wouldn't eat here again. Nothing personal against this place but I look for bbq that exceeds my expectations and there's yet to be a place local that does that. Best of luck to the owner and crew though!

Very disappointed. The Brunswick stew was a veggie soup, carrotsandlima beans don't go in stew. . The brisket was like deli meat with bbq sauce on it. The curly fries and the texas toast were the best things. The pulled pork had no smoke flavor at all. The cashier was great! The lady that brought out our food was nice. Will never go back. Should have went with our first thought and drove by. Waste of $40, I ate nothing

I stopped while traveling thru. Literally just googled 'food near me'. I love a good BBQ joint, but I've had so many i was actually considering fast food, even though I knew id regret it.
So I decided to eat here, and I am so glad I did!
I am not (at all) easy to please when it comes to food. The staff was amazingly friendly, and genuine. Good people like the kind that you will not find in the city (sorry city people. Its true :).
These were the sweetest, most 'down home' relaxed and friendly folks ever. Best part? The food was absolutely delicious. I had the pork tacos (2 for $10) which were prepared differently than im used to. Fresh homemade shells. These had slaw, slices of jalapeño and smoked pork. Very tasty, and very filling.
Then (because I thought I could) i ordered wings as well. 10 jumbo wings for $16. She (owner/host) recommended a hot and tangy sauce, and lemon pepper for my two flavor choices. These were among the best wings I've ever had, and Ive traveled a lot. The sauce was off the hook, and the dry rub lemon pepper was a perfect blend. Everything was garnished and presented with fresh sliced lemons and limes, and there was (way) more than enough. I took 6 wings home with the homemade ranch dipping sauce, which was also delicious. They visited and we talked some. They make all of everything fresh, in house, and (in my experience) they do a fantastic job. Seriously. These people take pride in what is on their menu.
I dont know if ill be able to return again anytime, but I will make a point to stop in again if I can!
So glad I didnt settle for fast food!

We eat BBQ nationwide, this is the best we've had this year hands down 💯 from the fried green tomato app to the brisket and pulled pork, tender and delicious! But wait! Theres more...the collard greens could be a meal in itself for me! Best I've ever had 💯 Friendly positive atmosphere, homey and comfortable, we will definitely go out of our way to come back here to eat again 👍

Delicious and friendly. The cornbread was yummy and the brisket sandwich was amazing!!!! A worth it spot.

Was traveling through and wanted to avoid a large chain restaurant. This was THE spot. Loaded chips were awesome with brisket and the cheese really made it. One of the best shredded buffalo chicken sandwiches I have ever had. Service and hospitality also unmatched. Will be back

I dont know if I should start off my rant with the kids or im sorry the servers running around with no direction, the absolute ridiculous wait time for the food, the fact when the food finally did come out it was burnt to a crisp and for 30$ worth of ribs youd think they would be a little thick and juicy youd be wrong or what I would think is the worst part the poor attitude from all directions of management. I am HIGHLY disappointed and will not be back to this small business. All I can say is this is what happens when people get a large portion of money and try to open a business during a. National crisis and some how maintain said building from not shutting down and painting a 91 health schore when coming from a background of food management is very sad to see

Take my word for it, go here. We tried this restaurant on an RV trip through the area and found an amazing group of people with food that delivered. With 4 kids sometimes it’s hard to find a place with food that everyone likes, but we had no trouble here. 2 of them had the shredded chicken with Mac-and-cheese, they loved it! One had the chicken Caesar salad, but he ended up trying everything on the table! His review was that this was one of his new favorite restaurants. My wife happens to be a pulled pork sandwich connoisseur, she loved her sandwich with sweet potato fries. I love smoked meats and found the lean brisket and pulled pork to be right on point as well. It was hard to pick a highlight till the owner Matthew came out and really topped off the experience. He’s such a genuine soul, great smile, and he made such a great impact on our kids. This one is highly recommended by the Neumanns!
