The food was amazing. I got the jerk wings and Shrimp fried rice but when my food came they gave me the oxtails fried rice! It was good after searching for the shrimp…I asked our waitress what I ordered and the cook messed up my order. The owner made sure it was corrected. My boyfriend got the oxtail nachos appetizer and catfish with garlic mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese! He loves catfish and he loved it here! A hidden gem and we will be returning! No pics but the fried rice was HUGE!

My husband discovered this place on a whim, it was very quiet in there, but we did not know what to expect but when the food arrived, we were blown away. Presentation was beautiful and everything was on point. The food was delicious. The rice and peas was perfect, the fried chicken wasn’t the best I had but it was still good. The snapper was delicious! Mac n cheese was tasty and the candied yams had a nice texture and flavor. As a Jamaican, I fully approve of this restaurant there’s so much more things I would love to try next time, but so far so good. I will definitely be back!

I ordered and paid for large Oxtail plate for delivery and not the small and they literally served me three small to medium size pieces of oxtail that were missing meat and two bare bones.

This is unacceptable especially when I’m paying almost $40 with delivery fees and all for one plate of what should be LARGE oxtail serving.
A large order of oxtail anywhere comes with 7 to 10 pieces or more of meaty oxtail at the bare minimum.

All they did was serve me a larger portion of rice in the to go tray and that's not what I paid for. On top of that I waited longer than the original anticipated time to get my food delivery.

Shame on the owners of this place bc this is my first time trying this place as a new customer and it will be my last because I cannot support any business that does their customers wrong like this especially a new first time ever customer.

Ordered the oxtail and shrimp Rasta pasta tastes like the sauce was bought from the store or bought, premade. Also, when I’ve had Rasta pasta the oxtails usually taste like Jamaican oxtail seasoning. This one did not I was confused. Not worth $40

To be the first time entering in this restaurant, was the worse experienced the staff is so rude no one greeted me when they saw me entering I was about to step out but I just wanted to get the food and get out no manners from the staff I did not feel welcome at all, I will never come back!

The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered shrimp quesadilla and they were so good and fresh! The service was also great, Chinks was very attentive and made sure I did not want for anything! If you are in the Lawrenceville area and want some good food you should definitely stop by!

I rarely write reviews, but my experience at Dack’s Cuisine was so disappointing that I feel it’s important to share, especially for anyone considering spending their time and money here.

From the moment I sat down, the service was off. I was not provided any silverware with my meal, which should be a basic expectation at any restaurant. When I asked, it felt like I was being an inconvenience rather than a valued guest.

I ordered the chicken and waffles, expecting a comforting, flavorful dish. What I received was nothing short of embarrassing to put on a menu. The waffle was hard, and the chicken had absolutely no seasoning or flavor — not even the slightest hint of salt or spice. After one bite, I knew I couldn’t continue. To call it “bland” would be an understatement.

What made the experience worse was the manager’s response. Instead of listening or offering a solution, she came out unprompted and announced, “We don’t take anything back and will charge you for an additional meal.” This was said before I even asked for anything to be done about the dish. Then, after saying “hold on a second,” she walked away and never returned. The lack of professionalism and respect in that moment was shocking.

Restaurants are about more than food — they’re about hospitality. Dack’s Cuisine failed on both counts. The food was subpar, the service was careless, and the management was outright dismissive. Bringing a date here would be brutally embarrassing, because instead of enjoying a meal together, you’d likely spend the night apologizing for the experience.

I don’t write this lightly, but I cannot recommend this place to anyone. There are too many other restaurants in the area that actually value their customers and deliver quality meals. Save your time, save your money, and look elsewhere.

Great local spot. You get a lot of food and it’s good. The kind of place I can go alone.

I ordered food from here and it was a terrible experience. The oxtail had a weird burnt smell, the pasta was overfilled with water and turned into a watery liquid mess, and the noodles were completely soggy. I couldn’t even finish half of it — what I did eat made me sick. Later that night and the next morning, I had stomach issues and diarrhea, and I hadn’t eaten anything else. My stomach was making loud gurgling noises after just a small portion even still making them as I’m typing this review. And I know the food was definetly not fresh and bad for sure because my parents ate a bit and also had diarrhea. The rest went straight into the trash.
Never will I eat here again. Don’t let the pictures or the food presentation fool you — the best Jamaican food will always be in the hood. I’ve never had a good one in Gwinnett yet.HORRIBLE

Great food Great vibes. I met Dack when we were visiting ATL from Kansas City. Very nice young man, professional, and he personally brought the food to our table. Definitely show support for black owned businesses. Especially when the food is fire 🔥. Highly recommend located in ATL and NYC. Family owned and operated. #foodie
