Ordered the oxtail and shrimp Rasta pasta tastes like the sauce was bought from the store or bought, premade. Also, when I’ve had Rasta pasta the oxtails usually taste like Jamaican oxtail seasoning. This one did not I was confused. Not worth $40

To be the first time entering in this restaurant, was the worse experienced the staff is so rude no one greeted me when they saw me entering I was about to step out but I just wanted to get the food and get out no manners from the staff I did not feel welcome at all, I will never come back!

The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered shrimp quesadilla and they were so good and fresh! The service was also great, Chinks was very attentive and made sure I did not want for anything! If you are in the Lawrenceville area and want some good food you should definitely stop by!

I rarely write reviews, but my experience at Dack’s Cuisine was so disappointing that I feel it’s important to share, especially for anyone considering spending their time and money here.

From the moment I sat down, the service was off. I was not provided any silverware with my meal, which should be a basic expectation at any restaurant. When I asked, it felt like I was being an inconvenience rather than a valued guest.

I ordered the chicken and waffles, expecting a comforting, flavorful dish. What I received was nothing short of embarrassing to put on a menu. The waffle was hard, and the chicken had absolutely no seasoning or flavor — not even the slightest hint of salt or spice. After one bite, I knew I couldn’t continue. To call it “bland” would be an understatement.

What made the experience worse was the manager’s response. Instead of listening or offering a solution, she came out unprompted and announced, “We don’t take anything back and will charge you for an additional meal.” This was said before I even asked for anything to be done about the dish. Then, after saying “hold on a second,” she walked away and never returned. The lack of professionalism and respect in that moment was shocking.

Restaurants are about more than food — they’re about hospitality. Dack’s Cuisine failed on both counts. The food was subpar, the service was careless, and the management was outright dismissive. Bringing a date here would be brutally embarrassing, because instead of enjoying a meal together, you’d likely spend the night apologizing for the experience.

I don’t write this lightly, but I cannot recommend this place to anyone. There are too many other restaurants in the area that actually value their customers and deliver quality meals. Save your time, save your money, and look elsewhere.

Great local spot. You get a lot of food and it’s good. The kind of place I can go alone.

I ordered food from here and it was a terrible experience. The oxtail had a weird burnt smell, the pasta was overfilled with water and turned into a watery liquid mess, and the noodles were completely soggy. I couldn’t even finish half of it — what I did eat made me sick. Later that night and the next morning, I had stomach issues and diarrhea, and I hadn’t eaten anything else. My stomach was making loud gurgling noises after just a small portion even still making them as I’m typing this review. And I know the food was definetly not fresh and bad for sure because my parents ate a bit and also had diarrhea. The rest went straight into the trash.
Never will I eat here again. Don’t let the pictures or the food presentation fool you — the best Jamaican food will always be in the hood. I’ve never had a good one in Gwinnett yet.HORRIBLE

Great food Great vibes. I met Dack when we were visiting ATL from Kansas City. Very nice young man, professional, and he personally brought the food to our table. Definitely show support for black owned businesses. Especially when the food is fire 🔥. Highly recommend located in ATL and NYC. Family owned and operated. #foodie

Authentic Jamaican cuisine with a great variety of options like sweet potatoes and collard greens. I tried the lobster, sweet potatoes, mac and cheese, and jerk wings. Everything was flavorful and delicious. This place is definitely a must visit! Troy, the owner, and the bartender were so welcoming and made the experience even better. My drink was perfect, and the customer service was top notch. They offer both dine-in and takeout, which makes it super convenient. Highly recommend this spot!

I got the Jerk Salmon Quesadilla without French fries. Overall the service was ok because I did take out. Owner and the lady behind the counter was extremely nice. The food is a 4.5/10. I felt like the sauce on Quesadilla was good but very messy. Maybe it would have been better on the side. The Jerk Salmon was sub to say the least. People have alot to say about the price but I believe they gave a generous portion. Even without the fries it was ALOT of food. Atmosphere was quiet. Not sure if I would necessarily go back.

I almost didn’t do this review because I wanted to low-key be a gatekeeper! I visited for the first time this Tuesday on a super RANDOM whim and whewwww chile!!! There was absolutely NOTHING that I did not like. From the way I was greeted, to the ambience, to the vibe, to the server Brittany, to the DJ DubbleK, and last, but DEFINITELY not least the amazing food (I don’t know who the chef was but they prepared our item with precision, expertise and LOVE). I had a time! I am so elated to know that I have somewhere I can go in Gwinnett that checks all the boxes for me. I didn’t take pictures (their stories on social media does a great job though) because I’m typically not wowed like this our community. I will most definitely become a regular, all I ask is keep up the great quality and experience. Thank you so much!

Stopped here on a whim. Didn’t know it was in the Publix shopping center. Food is on the pricier side! Oxtails were flavorful, but some pieces were tough and hard to chew. Sauce on the Mac n cheese was good and it distracted you from the overly cheesy flavor of the dish. Curry goat was good. Plantains were not ripe whatsoever! They were basically fried green bananas. Jerk chicken had good flavor, but the meat was kind of dry. Asked for gravy on the rice and peas for both the oxtails and curry goat. She assured me they would come with gravy on the rice when I confirmed with her. As suspected, it did not come out with gravy! I had to ask again for gravy. I expected to be blown away with the food for the price, but I wasn’t. Service was slow lacked enthusiasm

There was quite a wait before someone came to the table. An older man came eventually. He said he was going to check on an item for us but never came back. Yams and Lamb were absolutely amazing!!! There's a young girl who was fixing the drinks. She made some sneaky lemon drops...I will definitely be back
