Pizza is good but whoever is running the business is not very smart. Went to the website on New Year's Day to see if they were open. Nothing on the website saying they weren't, so I ordered a large pizza. Order went thru, card was charged and I was give a pickup time.
Went there and read the note on the door to the place they were closed. I don't begrudge them being closed for NYD, but I would expect them to put it on their website or atmleast turn off the order function. I expect management to respond to this review and confirm the charge against my card was reversed.

SMH. I expect better since its.not.lkke online ordering was invented yesterday.
UPDATE!
Received a call from the owner apologizing for the error and I received a full refund. I have updated my review score to reflect my satisfaction with how rh8s business responds to customers when they fall short. IMO, this reflects the highest standard any business can achieve in customer support: addressing legit complaints from customers PROMPTLY and without making excuses. I encourage anyone interested in good pizza at a reasonable price to order from Dogwood Pizza online or in person.

Since the first time I visited this pizza place reminds me of the pizza I grew up on back in Bed Stuy Brooklyn. Keep up the good work! No photos because I ate the whole small pizza while driving lol

My first time coming here and have yet to try the pizza but they are not making a good first impression. Ordered online says pizza will be ready at 6:42... arrive at 6:50 just for them to tell me they haven't even made the pizza and inconveniencing me to wait 15 to 20 extra minutes for them to cook the pizza that should have been ready! Needless to say this will probably be my first and last time coming here

Thy best BBQ pizza I've had in a long time! I'll be back!

The pizza was very average. I got a buffalo slice and a veggie slice. The buffalo slice was drenched in so much oil that when I picked up the slice the cheese slid right off and the slice broken half. Also two slices and a bottle of Diet Coke came up to $18. That was very expensive for two average sized and average tasting slices of pizza. I wont be back.

I have been coming here for the past 6 years and they never disappoint! We've ordered out and eaten into the restaurant and the quality is impeccable every time. I'm from NYC and I have to admit it's the best pizza I've had after leaving the City. The service is also amazing and everyone is friendly and tries to make sure you're satisfied, even if it's take out.

I ordered pizza and wings and the pizza was really delicious. However, my wings were undercooked which was very disappointing. I didn’t feel like going back up to the restaurant so I just ended up throwing them away because I didn’t want to get sick from eating meat that wasn’t thoroughly cooked

This is a local favorite because the pizza toppings and crust are much higher quality than national chains. If you want something different, they have a mix of great salads, hot subs, wings and even some excellent deserts. Beer & Wine are no longer served.

Fantastic pizza! Several friends had recommended Dogwood Pizza for years but I just never got around to trying it. I wish I would have tried it sooner. Great customer service and also looks like a great place to dine-in, if you like to do that, I ordered take-out.

It's not a very good visit. I ordered a calzone with ricotta, chicken, mushrooms, and spinach. I asked for double Ricotta, and the dark-haired kid ringing me up said ok. They brought the other people in my parties out a good 10 min before my food. When I got it, it only had tiny pieces of chicken, spinach, and mozzarella and it was a Stromboli not a Calzone. I went to the front, and apparently, they don't have Ricotta. WHY DIDN'T HE TELL ME THAT. I asked for the manager because all the kids working there are clueless. He repeated they didn't ever have Ricotta ( which is an ingredient in Calzones ALWAYS), so he asked if I wanted something else, so I decided on a Greek salad.. BIG MISTAKE there were more black olives on it than anything else, and they have me Ceasar dressing. Everything was dry and old on the salad like they made it days ago. The Pepperchini were so dry and stale. WE WON'T BE BACK AND I SUGGEST YOU SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE

My favorite pizza spot! They have loads of toppings, the best being GREEN ? OLIVES!!! The dough/crust comes out just right. I usually order during the day and they have always beaten the estimated delivery time. Keep doing what y'all do, thanks so much!
