Went a second time on a weekday. The food didn't taste as good, but it was decent. The greens weren't seasoned and the peach muffin was disgusting . The pot roast was dry and salty. Everything was good

Fries chicken was excellent. Fresh and hot. The rest of the meal was poor quality and not to my liking, but it was also fresh and hot. Maybe I ordered the wrong things on the menu. Lol

The food was very good but the service was beyond poor. We finished our meal and our waitress never cleared the plates. She just kept bringing deserts and no place to put them on the table and still didn't clear any plates. A party of 7 so a lot of dishes. She walked by many times yet my husband had to get up to get her to refill drinks. Had to send another waitress to ask her to get our check and then had to wait 15 minutes before she acknowledged us. The bathroom was filthy and smelled like a sewer. But the food was excellent; all of it.

We waited a few minutes to be seated even though it was super dead inside. Their service was extremely slow which was frustrating. The drinks that we wanted (on the menu) was not available. The food was a 3.5/5 -not bad. Our waitress was a kind hearted older woman. They had no crayons for my daughter, but she offered her pen which was thoughtful. I wanted to experience southern food since I'm not from GA, but dont think I'll be returning.

They have the best fried chicken and catfish that I've had! I remember when they were called Po' Folks when I was a kid and their food was awesome then (30 years ago). Strangely, there's always a place to park and there's never a wait. I think people forget about this place because they see adverts for other southern food places more often. I've been eating here for at least 35 years and the food is the best southern cooking around.

If you want good southern home style cooking this is the best place. The place needs a little TLC with a little paint to freshen up the place. Good food is their trademark.

The food was good & so was the waitress, even though she needed to pull her pants up...sagging not permitted when waitressing. But she was nice & took care of us & she received a hefty tip!! The only negative is the place needs some updating. It has gotten too old and has a slight smell. The restroom was the worst..

Our Server was great. Fast, friendly and attentive. We didn't have to ask for refills. The chicken wings are delicious. The peach muffins are Devine.

Visiting from Nashville Tennessee, ordered food carryout. My family member went to pick up our food, and the staff was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! My family member stated she was on the way, and she would be running a little late, and staff stated “ok”. Upon my cousins arrival staff @ Folks lock the door, and spoke with here through there glass, staff STATED THEY THREW HER FOOD AWAY!!!!! Why tell a person to come, and it's ok to run a little late your food would be ready, per STAFF REQUEST!!!! Again upon arrival speaking throw the door my cousin was told “ we are closed” , and when she asked about the food. THE STAFF STATED “ WE THREW THE FOOD AWAY”. My cousin was two minuets late!!!!!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL NASTY RUDE PLACE OF BUSINESS!!!!!

My family and I had a horrible experience tonight. The waitress took our order and we sat there for 40 minutes. We asked about our food and the waitress hadn't even put the order in. We left!!! Will not ever return there to eat again!!!

They are so slow. I never smell anything cooking and it's always empty so I don't know how fresh the food is. I picked up an order that wasn't correct, the waitress commenced to taking food from one plate in an attempt to put it on the correct plate, but that's not where the problem began, it started when she went to the nail shop and had them put on five inch nails before coming to a restaurant and handling people food without gloves. But get this, after she fondled all the food with those disgusting germ ridden fake nails, she said “oh maybe I should have put gloves on “😳you think?!

OMG this place is such a joke.I came here because my husband wanted us to try someplace new.First I noticed it seemed dead and had only one customer in there.I ordered out of their menu but they said they didn't have it,so I went with what they had which was supposed to be grilled shrimp and salmon.Boy! What I got was greasy shrimpletts that looked and tasted like something that's been cooked and kept for months,it was so greasy I couldn't even take a picture of my plate. My salmon was still ice cold apparently it was brought out of the fridge and wasn't even microwaved properly.Am glad I had no food poisoning but I wonder why a place with such poor content should still be running.

Reserved their back room on a weeknight for a family dinner. Called and went by earlier in the week and that day to confirm we were expected. Got there 15 minutes early, nothing had been set up. Then workers streamed in like ants and in five minutes everything was ready before anyone else arrived. Our service was *excellent*, from corn dogs to country fried steak to all-you-can-eat catfish the food was very good, served quick and hot, never felt neglected, very accommodating of young children and elderly, good choices for young ones, let us "have it our way", fair prices. Would do it again anytime. We used to eat there fairly often years ago, then got distracted by other newer choices. We've decided to put this place back on the regular rotation schedule.

Some time has passed since I visited Folks and I was pleasantly surprised when I ate here. If the fried chicken isn't good, I don't go back. Their fried chicken is excellent!
