“Our experience at Local Republic was so good we went twice during our visit to Lawrenceville. On Saturday we went for an appetizer and drinks. We sat at the bar and our service was fantastic. Her timing was above par! We had the Korean Chicken Wings, boneless wings generously tossed in gochjang sauce. They were so good, I seriously considered ordering again on Sunday just to take home. We had espresso martinis, made with vodka. They were really good and for those of us who are lactose intolerant, they do not contain dairy. We went back on Sunday for their Sunday brunch. Highly recommend! When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the lady who was our bartender on Saturday. She immediately recognized us and welcomed us back. We were seated right away and the server also recognized us, even though he had not waited on us on Saturday. He also provided exceptional service. My husband had the brisket tostada served with a runny egg on top. He really enjoyed it and I had a bite. Definitely something we would order again. I had their shrimp and grits. I am normally not one to eat grits, but these were so good, I couldn’t stop myself. They were served with a tomato sauce the was spicy, andouille sausage and roasted red peppers. It was so good! I can hardly wait to have my leftovers for breakfast tomorrow. Unfortunately, my husband devoured his Brisket Tostada, so no leftovers there. Overall, I cannot recommend Local Republic enough for their exceptional food and service. Their prices are reasonable as well. Our tab on Sunday, which included one more espresso martini, was only $51.“
