Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant

I used to frequent this location and I always try to make it for breakfast and unfortunately they have NEVER had everything all at once and fresh. How early do I need to show up to have authentic ackee and salt fish and boiled dumpling??? This last time is where I draw the line. On top of yall NEVER having everything all at once you want to charge ridiculous amount for food that was quite literally slapped in a box and charge to use a credit card???? …. And yall have a 88 health score. Idk what’s going on at this place but I will never come back again. $17+ for a slab of ackee and salt fish. Mainly ackee. Customer service was also terrible.

Garbage, bugs in place and they have the most disgusting attitude when asked anything, ohhh not to mention the food is so damn high for no reason when it’s crazy save your money and time miss that trash and nasty attitude

The manager was great and down to earth! Since they didn’t have everything due to them closing soon he was nice enough to give me a few free patties ⚡️That’s real customer service, it’s out my way but I’d come here for the great service and quality of food. Thank you guys for that experience I was having a hard week at the time and yall made it better

Great tasting food, and servers are easy to work with. Your bill can get out of hand though, if you don't pay attention to the prices.

I usually don’t write reviews, but because I have been going to this golden krust for years, I notice a lot has changed. The food containers are no longer deep so they put less food to make it seem like it’s a lot. I brought oxtail and I know the cost of oxtails is more but if we the customers no longer have a choice for small no more. It’s either medium or large and we pay that 32.00 we should not see them counting the 5 pieces of oxtails they give us. We paying a lot we should get 32.00 worth of food. I wanted to surprise my American boyfriend with some Caribbean food and he straight up told me he did not like the oxtail and rice. Lately, the rice and peas or peas and rice has been very hard. I could not enjoy my meal because the rice was hard.

I went there this morning and ordered livers from drive thru, the girl said that all they had available was an akee and saltfish and saltfish. I ordered the akee/saltfish, she then asked if I wanted boiled or fry food, I said boiled. She then said we only have banana and yam but no dumplin I said ok and I also ordered a side of plantain. When I home I literally almost threw up. The akee was swimming in water and literally one piece of saltfish. I got 3 slices of yam and on banana. The yam was raw as shit so I threw the entire meal in the trash. Never again. The plantain were also very hard as though I was reheated.

Staff very very unfriendly!!!! Food unexceptional drive to far to get terrible service and nasty food! Never Never will go there AGAIN! Wished I could give NO STARS

Terrible service and very unprofessional staff. I never got to eat because nobody ever rang up my food after waiting in line 20mins on Friday 4/25/25 around 7pm. I will not be returning.
