The food is not the greatest. Too much salt and the flavor is not that great. Bought a bunch of food and wished we had only bought one thing and saved the rest of our money. I personally don't recommend but you can see for your self. Maybe my standards are too high.

I came here and ordered the jollof rice and assorted meat. I was a bit scared because of other reviews I had seen about the jollof having a smoky flavor like it was almost burnt. Thankfully, mine did not have this problem. The jollof is okay. It's not amazing, however I might be a bit biased since I am Nigerian and have grown up eating jollof. The meat was really good! It was a mixture of goat, beef, and shaki. All of the meat was tender and flavored very well. The stew from the meat was good as well and I wish there would have been more, because it really added to the flavor of the jollof rice. The meal also comes with some plantain. Although they were nice and soft, they were extremely oily so I did have to them with a paper towel. Overall, I enjoyed the food and since I cannot cook Nigerian food that well and my parents don't live super close, this place can definitely serve as my Nigerian food fix.

I came into town Friday(6/18) and couldn't wait to try their cuisine after reading their good reviews. I drove 45 extra minutes after driving 3hrs for a business meeting. When I entered I was told they were closed. Yep, I was livid! I said I would try again on my way out. Well, that was a bad decision. I was over charged and the the food was terrible and waited a hour. The potatoe leaf and the okra soup was HORRIBLE and not to mention the customer service. I recommend you going to The Village, it's delicious Honest Star should definitely take notes from them.

This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in all of Atlanta. I visit about once a week. Besides the great staff and service, the food is out of this world. So good, it’ll have you calling and placing another order before you finish your first one (trust me, I’ve been there) Every time I go, they go above and beyond to make sure my food and hot, fresh, tender and ready. The meat ALWAYS falls off the bone and it’s TRUE authentic African food which is hard to find in the city. Thank you for all you guys do. See you next time!Morgan

The food wasn't great. The fufu was good but the stew I ordered was disgusting. If you want amazing African food I highly recommend the Village and bar which is 10mins from this place. I give it a 1 star. Instead of the owner biting back she shouldve asked what can they do to improve! I will tell you. How about you train your workers to have better customer service. The stew I ate was bitter leave was so disgusting and the pounded yam was disgusting too. The only thing was good from my order was the pounded plantain. I'm not the only who thinks this restaurant is disgusting. They just haven't made a review. I now will go on google and put a review as well.

Clean, lovely restaurant with great decor and ambience. Personable and helpful manager and waiter. Patiently explained to our group the dishes and drinks on the menu. Answered all of our questions. Offered to bring samples of the stews for taste-testing for spice level. Freshly made foods. Very tasty and quite spicy. You can ask the spice level be lowered when ordering. So many protein options. Excellent and fresh fufu, jollof, okazi soup, pounded yams, red-red, empanadas and turkey tails. The tripe was cut in to large chunks and was too chewy. I recommend asking for it to be cut into think strips. Only the moi-moi was quite over-cooked and pretty awful. It arrived 30minites after the entrees, so I brought it home for breakfast. And couldn't eat it. The food came out veeeeeeeery slowly. Around 30-45 minutes wait for entrees. About 20 minutes for the appetizers (except the moi-moi). I will certainly return. One of the patrons suggested I call in my order about 30 minutes before I arrive for dine-in, as all of the food is made fresh at order.

Ive been to only a handful of African restaurants that usually have me leaving hungry and in terrible pain from all the spices. (hungry meaning it was too spicy to finish). I am happy to say I left here full and extremely glad about my experience. We met here as part of our meetup group ( georgiafoodies.com ) and pretty much blindly ordered our dishes out of hopes it would be something worthwhile and we were altogether happy with our experience. The waiter was very knowledgable about the food and answered all 1000 questions with ease helping us make our orders. I ordered Chofi which is the backside of a turkey (to say it lightly) or turkey tails. I wasn't sure what to expect since I am not a fan of turkey but he described it well as a fatty and tender part of the turkey that very flavorful. He wasn't lying, it was amazing! I tried to save some and bring it home for later but it didn't make it home lol. I will definitely be back!

I drive from John's Creek for take out. Food is really good. Pounded Yam is huge & entree's generous portion. Service is great!
