When I tell I will not eat Caribbean food anywhere else I mean it! My food is literally a 10 out of 10 every single time and the staff is always sweet and very inviting. Feels like family!

Always my go-to when I'm in the area. Best roti and stew chicken dishes; just like homemade! Mrs. Jay is such a wonderful person, and it shows in her cooking. Absolutely highly recommend!

I stopped by this spot while in the area and it did not disappoint. I ordered one beef pie, one chicken pie, and the oxtail lunch plate. I was driving back to Augusta so I smashed the patties on the way and they were so good. Once I was able to eat my plate, everything was on point. I have to be honest though, the cabbage was my favorite. I’d definitely return just for a plate of cabbage next time.

This was once my favorite jamaican spot. But I was highly disappointed yesterday. The patties were delicious, but I also ordered a small curry goat (for 21.00). This was served in the lunch size containers , of course a very small portion. But my plate was full of large bones with little to no meat.
I've been meaning to try out Jay's for a long time and finally had the chance today. The employees were kind and efficient and the food was amazing. I had the Large Jerk Chicken over rice and peas with cabbage. I haven't had Jerk this good since I visited Jamaica. And the portion size left me with enough to take home for a second meal.

Thoroughly enjoyed all of the food and dessert. Was feeling blah earlier this week and wanted comfort foods. Chicken soup...Curry Goat w/Rice & Peas, Cabbage...Key Lime Cake and finished it off with Sorrel! Great portion size for the price. Between the food and service...they hit the spot and picked me right up! The women I encountered when ordering are beautiful souls. They made me feel welcomed ...like family.
This is one of a few spots that reminds me of home (New York). Thanks to my friend, I FINALLY found my Jamaican spot in Georgia!

This was, without question, one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. It was unprofessional, dismissive, and needlessly confrontational.
This was my first visit. I drove about 40 minutes looking to try a new Caribbean spot. I walked in excited to place an order for chicken roti and asked a simple question about the oxtails. The response I got was aggressive, defensive, and honestly alarming.
I was told more than once that she wouldn’t tell me the truth about the food. That doesn’t build confidence, it raises red flags. A normal response would have been a recommendation or some guidance. Instead, I left that interaction feeling confused, uncomfortable, and frustrated as hell.
It went downhill from there. I wasn’t asked what type of rice I wanted, and when I requested white rice due to a dietary concern, the food was handled carelessly, removing one item and placing another directly on top of the same spot. That’s not just poor service, that’s a food handling issue.
The roti itself was also disappointing. The dhalpuri (roti wrap/“roti skin”) was hard around the edges and rubbery throughout, as if it had been sitting for days. That only added to the overall concern about freshness and quality.
The entire interaction felt hostile and dismissive. I was treated like an inconvenience, not a customer.
For anyone reading this thinking “that wouldn’t happen to me”, it absolutely can. I walked in respectful and left questioning the safety and care behind what I was served.
To the owners: food handling and customer treatment should be non-negotiable. Not everyone will be as patient as I was.
To customers: if you value basic courtesy when you spend your money, think twice before coming here.

The chicken patty and beef patty were fresh and delicious. Highly recommend th curry chicken as well. The jerk chicken was good but somewhat hard to chew and didn't have much sauce covering it. The curry chicken was well coated and flavored my rice.
Jackie is such a joy. Honestly, I go back because of the light that radiates from Jackie. She really made an impact on me. The food is excellent, my favorite is their ackee and Saltfish. I've had their curry chicken, brown stew chicken, oxtail, fried dumplings, rice and peas, boiled dumplings and boiled bananas. All delicious.
As for snacks, their rock buns can't be enough for my husband. And he loves their bully. All in all, great experiences.
Again, special mention to Jackie. Thanks for your presence, you're the main reason I revisited. Then discovered your other delicious options.

I happened to stumble upon this hidden gem. The cuisine was exceptional; it was well-seasoned, generous in portion, and cooked to perfection. My curry chicken was incredibly tender. My companions were also very satisfied. We all enjoyed oxtails, curry goat, brown stew, and jerk chicken. Everything was delightful!
