Best Caribbean food and service in Lawrenceville. I've been coming here for years and they never disappoint. The service is impeccable. The staff is always welcoming and professional unlike many other caribbean restaurants that I have visited. I love their oxtails, stewed chicken, roti, jerk chicken, and so many other things. Their prices are reasonable compared to other Caribbean restaurants. The portion sizes will last you 2 to 3 days. I highly recommend Jay's if you're looking for good authentic Caribbean food and great customer service.

Refreshing to see a Jamaican restaurant that consistently has great customer service and food. My 4th time coming and I have no plans of not returning, this place is truly a gem. Even when I didn’t get an item and called back, I was treated with kindness, thank you for this establishment.

Update 8/1
-Customer service needs improvement. It’s hard finding a Jamaican restaurant that has good food and service.

I was a little disappointed because I heard great things about the oxtails. I got the some on the 11th and they were very tough. The flavor and the quantity for the price were good. Not sure if it was just an off day or what. The staff were very friendly.

It's amazing to find authentic Jamaican food, with such sumptuous flavors and taste. The customer service and atmosphere were also top tier. I definitely recommend this spot.

This is one of those restaurants you just eat all the time and never remember to review but today I remembered! My husband and I have been eating here at least 10 years and it has always consistently been delicious. I have had a lot of Caribbean food since then and simply haven’t found anything better (this food is made with love). We even went to Jamaica and felt Jays was better lol.

Let me start by saying their customer service needs improvement. I understand the culture I’m American born in a Jamaican family. Jamaicans lack professionalism I’m not sure if they want people to be afraid of them well I’m not!!! I’m spending my money and they are not a cheap restaurant. Long story short I ordered literally a side of jerk chicken and I opened the box jerk sauce all over it! Not sure if I’m wrong but I’m used to places asking do you want sauce on it or not! Most Jamaican places even roadside jerk chicken stands put it on the side. I walked back in to tell them I don’t t like jerk sauce I’m more than aware jerk chicken is naturally cooked with spices. I simply didn’t want the extra spice!! She obviously didn’t want it back so I said ok well throw it away I don’t need free food I can afford it so that wasn’t my intention. Her and the manager were laughing in the back about it like I could’ve asked for a refund completely or dispute charge if they don’t know! Food is good but customer service will have me not come back.

NOBODY DOES IT LIKE JAY'S!! I've been eating here for the past 5 years and the fact that it took me so long to write a review saddens me because Jay's deserves every bit of their flowers. THE MOST AUTHENTIC JAMAICAN FOOD around. The owner brings love to every component of this restaurant let me tell you how I know. The rice and peas have to be made with love for me to know if it's official. You can taste the coconut milk and slow cook.Perfect and fresh every time. red pea soup soooo good too. mmm. the sorrel is perfect and well balanced. The hot sauce, the snack selection. Jah Jah yes.
