I placed a to-go order for vegetable hibachi ($17 and some change + $2 for fried rice), I was blown away to see an added tip that was never mentioned over the phone, which is very sneaky! A tip is a choice, not an obligation. I paid for the food. Why am I paying for someone to hand me the bag??? On top of that, the food was disappointing: mushy rice, bland soup, and a basic salad. Definitely not worth the money, and I won’t be returning. It just shows these people are greedy, and I prefer to support businesses that prioritize quality over profit, this experience did not reflect that at all.
Auto gratuity on take out. Foh
Apparently they close 30 minutes early? Crazy. Unprofessional
Had reservations a week in advance for my husband’s birthday. Waited 45 minutes because they only had 2 chefs and maybe 1 server. The hibachi chef did not speak just cooked the food, no pizazz m. Food was just mid.

Usually I consider this my go to Hibachi place. On this particular occasion im rethinking my choice and will start looking for a new place. Absolutely obserd service and this came from the manager. Food is usually good but after the way we were treated i wont come back. Lost our business permanently!

This place has terrible customer service. They also don’t distribute the portions evenly and when you call them out on it, they attempt to make a big scene and embarrass you. The waitress takes it upon herself to make up some random rule that doesn’t apply and doesn’t fix the problem until I threatened to leave. I also don’t like places that add a tip on your check automatically and have the audacity to leave a line for you to leave another tip when they don’t tell you that they already added a tip. I also was not a fan of the cockroaches, It’s sad because their food is good. It’s their customer service. That’s bad. Good thing there’s 100 more hibachi places in Lawrenceville.

Service was bad. Food was cold and took 45 minutes to be ready. They will charge 18% gratuity even if you were by yourself.

They send to take people out of order proceeding and has your waiting a while. Was a little bothered by the 18% forest gratuity on the check for party of two. Yum yum sauce has changed a little more bland than most hibachi places. Would recommend the other location on 20 in Lawrenceville little bit better all around.

(Because we were DESPERATE for Hibachi, we tried again but this time the food was horrific. The lobster, scallop, and shrimp hibachi was just plain disgusting in flavor, rubbery, over cooked, not seasoned well and it ended up in the garbage. Over $100 for dome dlop yo go plus a forced gratuity. Never again! Total buried & shouldn't be in business. You do better buying frozen hibachi kits. F+)
We used to frequent this restaurant which had more flavor & better portions but now they disappoint on 2 levels. We'd participate for Hibachi when it's not crowded but when crowded we decided to opt for take out. I've never seen the level of greed-mongering as I've seen at this location. They add a tip (15% or more gratuity fee) for YOU PICKING UP YOUR OWN ORDER & USING YOUR OWN GAS. The answer as to why they are brazenly doing this was "Because they have to pack it". Well, McDonald's has to pack our food too but doesn't start this type of thieving business behavior. No more Kampi for us. We're being forced to give a gratuity to an establishment whose always packed TO-GO ORDERS. Stop allowing businesses to steal from you with the fast talking. We've lost our taste/desire for Kampi and we're customers from the day of opening many years ago. Adios!
Refuse to sit my party of 5.

This is one place I will never visit again. They are the absolute worst!! My family and I went there to celebrate a birthday which they knew when making our reservations. They never acknowledge it which is ok, however the guy who prepared our food in front of us was rude and disgusting. He was very impatience with us while we tried to explain a few food allergies. Some in my party are allergic to eggs and we wanted him to cook part of the rice without any eggs and he began to roll his eyes. Ok fine, we let that go but when we wanted the shrimp cooked a little more than they usually cook it, he screamed at us that he knows what he's doing. He then proceeded to stop cooking and stood back and shook his head in disgust. If it wasn't for my daughter wanting Hibachi for her birthday, I would have just got up and walked out. This place will never get back my business. Furthermore, they charge an 18% gratuity which is outrageous because their customer service sucks. They stone cold crooked. The worst Hibachi spot in Snellville. Avoid this place....they are not friendly at all and the prices are too high!! I will say the lady who took our order was great, but that man who cooked the food needs to go!! Grumpy with a disgusting attitude. Never again....

Really great hibachi place with great staff. Huge portions too, so plenty for another meal or two. Surprised it was as empty as it was on a Friday at 730. The sushi roll options weren't bad but seem a little basic in the components at times.

The service was excellent. The ginger salad dressing was delicious. We always enjoy the show. Our meal was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place in the future.

The food was great. I was not pleased with them charging 18% tip for one person. Tipping is a service you earn. I believe it’s a total scam to charge someone 18%. I was not with a party. Please check your ticket before double tipping. I will not come back simply because of that reason. If you don’t trust me don’t serve me.

What happened to this place? We were regulars over the last 10 plus years until today. Food was not great - fried seafood rice had very little meat/egg/vegetables so not tasteful at all, sushi rolls were small. They quietly changed 18% tip which is sneaky, so be careful. Removed from our go to list!
