Kingston 30 Jamaican Restaurant

I’m so disappointed i drove so far to come here and it was not it . The curry chicken did not taste like curry chicken , it didn’t even look like curry chicken and then on top of that they gave me three small pieces of chicken damn near looked like chicken tenders they were so small for like a baby/ kid for a $15 meal is crazy.

The Red Pea Soup was the worst. It had a burnt flavor taste and on top of that I ordered a small and large cup that was very thick with no meat and had a dumpling the size of a egg. I definitely wouldn't recommend. What a waste of money for it to be thrown out. The WORST I've ever tasted of a red pea soup. DO NOT waste your money PLEASE!!!!

They were out of jerk chicken so I got the curry chicken. Chicken was tender & flavorful. Rice & Peas were a bit tasteless, maybe I should have asked for gravy on it. Jerk Mac n cheese was ok. Cabbage was excellent, nice flavor & perfect texture.

Here is my review:
I got the honey jerk salmon meal. The service is cool but this is “subpar Jamaican food” they only gave me two plantains.

The rice was dry with not enough sauce (curry sauce) and the cabbage needs to be cooked to more minutes.

I also got a meat pie that was tasteless.

Food was delicious, and the staff was very helpful and attentive. I was really disappointed they were out of curry goat, but the jersey pork and chicken was phenomenal. Will be back!

I was so disappointed in the food. Charlie provided great service but was very dishonest. After speaking while waiting for our food to be prepared we connected being both from Jamaica. I ordered two ackee dinners one with rice and peas (I know weird) and the other with provision. Charlie told me the jerk chicken gets seasoned well. There was no seasoning at all. The jerk sauce was not homemade, it was Scotch bonnet mixed with another sauce making it look like it was hot sauce instead of jerk sauce. Finally, the ackee was salty and not fresh. The kids said there was no salt fish in their ackee. Whats sad is i even asked hon if there was only one size for ackee and salt fish and he reaponded yes but when I looked at the paper menu there was two sizes. I shoudl have known then but I had alreay ordered. He mentioned they travel with Ackee from Jamaican on Southwest Airlines. We also ordered a jerk patty, two curry chicken patties and two vegetables patties. I watch them take a fresh batch out. However, there was no flake to it and the jerk was not jerk at all. This is why don't eat Caribbean food in Atlanta. Why lie though? Besides the lying, Charlie provided great customer service. Btw I ate most of my jerk chicken as I paid $83 including tip. Never again!

Just coming from sugarloaf mall and saw this jamaican restaurant KINGSTON 30. AS A REAL JAMAICAN WE DECIDED TO GIVE IT A TRY,we ordered 5 meals and NON OUT OF THE 5 MEALS WAS WORTH IT GOOD,THE JERK PORK ISN'T JERK PORK IT WAS STEW PORK AND THE GUY WAS RUNNING ME DOWN
TELLING ME IT WAS JERK PORK AND YUH KNOW AS A REALL JAMAICAN YUH CAN TELL JERK PORK DIFFERENT FROM STEW PORK AND WE ORDERED 2 JERK PORKS OF THAT.WE ALSO ORDERED A BO
ROWN STEW CHICKEN IT WAS RAW AND WASN'T COOKED PROPERLY AND ALSO FLAVORLESS AND THE RICE WAS ALSO FLAVORLESS. THE CURRY GOAT OMG!!I'M WONDERING IF IT'S BROWN STEW GOAT OR CURRY BECAUSE YOU CAN EVEN TELL IT DIDN'T EVEN HAVE ANY CURRY.THE ONLY THING THAT TASTED A LITTLE BIT GOOD WAS THE JERK CHICKEN BUT IT COULD USE SOME SAUSE.ALSO THE CABBAGE WAS SO PLAIN IT HAD NO TASTE IT TASTED HORRIBLE??AND THE FUNNIEST THING WAS I TOLD HIM I WAS A JAMAICAN CHEF AND I TOLD HIM I WAS GOING TO TELL HIM ABOUT HIS FOOD. As a fellow Jamaican I don’t think the food here lives up to its expectations as it did a few years ago! I ordered the jerk chicken lunch special with rice & peas it was bland and flavorless it tastes like regular baked chicken and the jerk sauce tastes like barbecue?? The beef patty also had a soggy texture. I’m afraid I won’t be a returning customer I’m disappointed.

I have to agree with a previous review I see here…..the food is TASTELESS. No flavor AT ALL. Also the parts of the chicken I received barely had meat on them. I couldn’t find a leg, a whole thigh, nothing! Just chopped bones…..it’s safe to say I won’t be eating there anymore.

The quintessential Jamaican food restaurant with a wholesome feel... Their customer service and attentiveness to your experience was bar none (very hospitable)...I am big on vegetables and vegetables were delicious...My all-time favorite jerk chicken was very tasty...

Opened my curry chicken lunch to find 2/3 of rice and zero taste of mostly bones… beef patty, yuck.
