Tried this place because of all the good reviews but was sadly let down. Best thing I had was a water. The service took forever despite barely having people & the food had zero flavor. My boyfriend and I tried a variety of tacos and were not impressed considering seeing so many 5 star reviews. The cheese dip arrived cold twice and many of the foods just lacked seasoning.

By the look of things and these reviews, this place has some pretty good food but being the one who does their research unlike others I found a post on social media of the owner chatting it up with local tyrant gang: Gwinnett PD. idk about the rest of y'all but the idea of spending money at a restaurant that collaborates with state sponsored thugs and known civil right violators just doesn't sit right with me!

Being born and raised in Mexico and now residing near Chicago Illinois, Little Village Lao known as Little Mexico, I’m always looking for authentic Mexican food when I travel. I’m in town to see my boyfriend nd asked him for a good authentic Mexican restaurant. He’s Panamanian and doesn’t really eat Mexican food, I know, how is he alive lol jk. I went on google and searched, read reviews and found Tacos El Poli, as usual I was right. I’m able to tell not by the reviews but by the pictures and the menu, and the pictures here didn’t do it justice. Service was excellent, our waiter was super nice. As we were ordering, he mentioned tortillas were hand made!! YESSSS!!! I definitely recommend this place and will for sure come every time im in town. Even my boyfriend who las had Mexican food five years ago like the food. Thanks Tacos El Poli. We had tacos, because it’s what I was craving, they had quesadilla de flor de calabaza which was delish and grilled peppers and grilled cactus. Made me feel like I was in Mexico or back home in little village where they have so many authentic Mexican food restaurants.Kid-friendliness: They do have a full bar but the ambiance is also kid nd family oriented. I would bring my kids.

Some of the best tacos I’ve had. The corn tortillas are made fresh in house and the al pastor and carne asada were delicious. I had some of the homemade green sauce too which was just the right amount of heat and tang. Can’t wait to come back.
