Sad story....we came for dinner... None of the 4 employees we saw in the kitchen would come out and take our order...so we left. In all fairness..they were back there having so much fun...they probably didn't want to stop what they were doing to actually work.

Mobile order wasn’t ready 30 mins after the pick up time giving no one in the store to give refund only 2 people working in the back and only one knew how to make orders the other one was just a kitchen prep and the order maker left the store to go drop off a catering order. DONT WASTE YOUR VAULE TIME AND HARD ERANED MONEY AT THIS LOCATION!!!!

I’ve always loved McAlisters and have eaten at them when we travel. But this particular location is really struggling. Very very understaffed last week when I went there they had no cashier. I had to order from the app. Took forever to get a sandwich and when I got it it look like someone just threw it together. The last four or five times I have been there it has been two or three people there working but they always say the manager is gone and she’s the only one who knows how to work the cash register.

I walked in and there was only one other customer present. It took minutes for me to be acknowledged. Two females in the kitchen who had seen me and been standing there talking the entire time finally acknowledged me. One said are you placing an order with an attitude and I said yes. They continued to talk and then got the cashier. The cashier was nice. Worse broccoli cheddar soup I’ve ever gotten from a McAlister. You can tell they scraped all the thick, clumpy, over cooked soup that sticks to the side of an empty pan and dumped it in a cup. It was as thick as oatmeal. The bread on the sandwich was hard as a rock and thrown together so sloppy (I cut the sandwich in half and realized how hard it was) with no pickle. The cashier specially asked me if I wanted a pickle. I will not visit this location again. This location does not have the same type of staff or tasty meals like the ones at the locations in Alpharetta and even Midtown smh.

The food was just like every other McAlister's. In my last visit here it took over 40 minutes to get sandwiches. Only 1 of 3 people were making food and that was after they stopped taking new orders and announcing that all orders were going to be to go because they were closing the dining area because they were short staffed.

We went because we had a gift card. We wanted loaded potatoes, one of the main features of the restaurant, but they didn't have any. After we ordered, the cards would not run, "card read error", so we were on the hook and had to pay for food that was not our first choice. The server was mechanical and robotic, as if she had numbed herself out after dealing with unhappy people for a long time.

The service at this location is terrible. With no customers dining in and no one else in line for a take out order, I had to wait 20 minutes for 1 sandwich. Repeated my order to the cashier 3 times and the order was still wrong. The 2 kids working the register have no knowledge about their menu. I would not recommend this location to anywhere, Mcalister as a franchise is great but his location is unacceptable .

As I was ready to order, I was told hold on, she went in the kitchen, about 6 minutes later I was able to order. I took 18 minutes to get my order. And it was cold,... I have been there several times in the past, and I recommend it to co students, and glad they didn't go, I hope y'all come back, it used to be

Should have went somewhere else. Pricing on the menu board was incorrect and they were out of everything that I ordered. I opted for the Italian sandwich since they were out of Turkey for the McAllister’s Club. I got a ham sandwich. No peppers, no salami. Customer service was awful and it’s obviously a bad management issue as the staff did not smile, talked under their breath, had ear buds in and couldn’t create an accurate order. I hate to say that I will not be visiting again. I have been to the Athens, GA location so many times and have loved my previous experiences.

Staffing, staffing, staffing. This used to be my favorite spot and they are falling apart. Only one or two ppl working the front in the crew in the back putting together the worlds slowest super sandwiches. I ordered online. Drove 15 minutes to the store. Then waited another 35 minutes from my club sandwich & brownie. While I was there no less than five people walked out because the lines were taking so long. And then this is the sandwich I got. They really need to fix this.

I ordered online, and it was supposed to be ready when I got there. Instead I had to wait another 20 minutes. I was rushing because I had a meeting. After waiting so long and finally getting my order, I quickly felt around in the bag to make sure everything was there. My mistake - i should've sat there and actually opened up all the containers to double check. My cookie brownie was missing which i had paid for. instead of Potato salad, they gave me some soggy tomato salad? I was at least excited to eat my soup..... But i was shocked when i opened the container (see pic). There was only like 1 scoop of soup in there. I wasn't sure if it was someone's leftovers that must have accidentally got tossed in my bag. Nonetheless I was scared to eat it in case it was supposed to be trash. The tortilla chips that come with the soup was also missing. If you are planning on ordering there for lunch, reconsider... Only order if you have 2 hours of time to waste and just make sure you double check your food before you leave

I placed an online order to be picked up at 1215pm, get to the restaurant and there is a sign on the door that says they are closed until 2. I pull on the door and there were workers in there but they acted like they didn’t even see me. I then began to call the restaurant phones and no one answered and there was no voicemail set up. This is very inconvenient and unprofessional. And I have not received a refund for what I paid for. There’s always an issue when I visit this location. The last time I came and purchased a baked potato, I was told by the cashier that they didn’t have any silverware. So I asked her how was I supposed to eat my big potato on my lunch break with no silverware. I asked her could I just have some of the real silverware to take with me since it wasn’t my fault but she said no. This location either needs to be closed down Until they find better management.

I love this spot! The restaurant is always clean and food is sooo good no matter what I order. The customer service given from all the associates are always top notch!!! Never ran into a rude associate nor has there ever been a wait when I order! Thank you guys for the really delicious food!

McAlister’s has always been one of my favorite places for sandwiches, soups and salads. Sadly this location (Lawrenceville) is struggling to provide even a low level of service. On a visit last week, I ordered a bowl of chicken tortilla soup. My husband ordered the Savannah salad with balsamic vinaigrette. After approximately 20 minutes, our ordered arrived, I had a cup that was half full of soup (approximately 1/2 cup in volume) and when I asked why I didn’t get a bowl, the runner indicated they were “out of the chicken tortilla soup”. I asked if I could get tortilla chips to go with the 1/2 cup, he responded they were out of tortilla chips. Hmmmm, they made no offer to substitute anything else. My husband’s salad had the wrong dressing, so he asked for the balsamic dressing. The runner went back to the kitchen and returned saying, “the cook doesn’t know what balsamic dressing is so we don’t have any”. We were also charged 5.49 for a kids meal that was posted above the menu as $3.99. Other patrons were waiting a long time for their food and the restaurant was not busy. The final straw was the next day, I received a survey from McAlister’s so I completed it and responded to their offer to contact me about my experience. It’s been a week and no contact has been made. Sadly I will never visit this restaurant again. There is no excuse for the poor service and lack of training or caring about the job much less the customer.

Unfortunately, I had to give one star so I could leave a review. This is absolutely the worst McAllister‘s I’ve ever been to! I understand supply chain issues, but what made this experience so bad was the service. They should close this place down because the people working here don’t care. I’ve seen three couples walk out that stood in line for more than five minutes without getting orders taken. Again, this place is absolutely terrible! They should close it down and start over.
