I would recommend Ovations to everyone i know and even tagged them during a recent visit by a food critic however my visit on the 1st of November changed my perception of the place and im pretty sure I will be doing business elsewhere.

Food:
As usual food is up to par and always legit. I spent about 77 dollars worth of food and every dollar was worth the taste.

Customer service:
This is where everything has gone downhill. In my previous visits I typically interact with the Caribbean workers there and if you know and or from the culture you know how they talk and present themselves. As a result I never felt disrespected or felt like the service was bad until th is visit dealing with the small skinny server. I believe shes agrican american but her entire attitude was horrible. We were online, she BEGAN to take the order of my friend and never even returned to finish leaving one of the other ladies to serve. Then once I finally finished my order I realized that I never put my number in. Her response to me during that experience was disgusting. She was rude, disrespectful and dismissive. As if I had the nerve to bother her during her work time. Unfortunately I left there feeling like ive given my money to an establishment that did not deserve my earned money. Im pretty sure I won't be returning and I hope future customers have more welcoming interactions. Such a shame for a place that was so great from the time they were in their previous location to this new location now. Massive drop off in the expectation and levels of service. Good luck

First and last time ever stopping by this restaurant. I stopped here to place an order for my boyfriend and I’m trying to tell the employee what he wants. One of the taller Caribbean women is absolutely rude and unprofessional. She keeps cutting me off when I’m trying to tell what I want and proceed to get an attitude and starts walking away when I tell her the order. I will never return to this place. Go to Golden Krust a few miles away if you’re craving Caribbean food, not here. You have been warned!!!!

Horrid customer service. This place is 35 minutes from my house.

I called to ask if they had enough oxtails for two dinners as I didn't want to drive an hour and ten minutes round trip for nothing.

The woman that answered the phone was snarky and sarcastic and everything came out of her mouth besides the answer to my simple question.

This was my first impression of this place.

I'll go get Chinese food instead smh.

The food was season. However the customer service sucks. I order 2 roti's one chicken one shrimp and stew chicken. The stew chicken tastes like teriyaki chicken and the curry did not come with potatoes and when I asked they told me they ran out. Without telling me as they were making my order. If I did not check my food I would not have know. Now the roti meal does not come with any side however the clerk told me it did so when I asked and look at the menu which had both roti and roti meal the lady said that's not it with an attitude the roti is the meal. OK so I'm like no I will take the 2 roti's then when it came to me saying something about the potatoes all hell broke loose. Like I said the curry was good and the roti but the chicken did not taste like stew and the customer service sucks

This was my first time dining at this location, and as someone who is proudly Jamaican, I was truly excited to finally visit after my sister had been raving about it for over a year. Unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by poor customer service from Ms. Nell.

THE FOOD was DELICIOUS, I mean I am very happy my sister came across this establishment!!!!

But unfortunately my experience wasn’t that great! Customer service is extremely important to me, and from the moment we walked in, we were met with an unpleasant and uncomfortable interaction. Ms. Nell had her back turned to us as we looked over the food, and when I began asking questions, her responses were snappy and dismissive. While I understand she was sweeping the floor when we entered, greeting and assisting customers should always take priority.

When I asked to taste a dish, I really felt like I was asking something foreign. Then to be told I was “bothering” her and informed that tasting wasn’t allowed, when I wanted to sample the Mac and cheese without the oxtails was baffling. However, it behooved me that moments later, another employee kindly provided a gentleman with a sample of the oxtails, clearly contradicting what Ms. Nell had said about tasting not being allowed at all. This inconsistency came across as passive-aggressive and unnecessary.

The irony is that the very dish I tasted was the one I purchased. As a paying customer, being treated with respect and courtesy should be the standard, not the exception. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken constructively so future guests can enjoy not only the food but also the warm hospitality that Jamaican culture is known for.

Simply amazing. First time and definitely will not be the last. I've been searching for a good carribean spot on this side for some time and I must say I have finally found it. Jerk Chicken was pure fire and the Brown Stew Chicken was so flavorul. And let's not forget about the oxtail gravy the gracious server smothered my rice and peas with. Big Boy heaven!!! LAWD!!
Thanks for the great service and great food. See ya tomorrow

I ordered some curry goat through Uber Eats, and I was impressed by how tender it was. The flavor was bomb, and the rice and cabbage were excellent as well. I can't forget to mention the jerk chicken with that fantastic sauce! As someone who just moved here from NYC, I wholeheartedly approve! I will definitely be ordering again! ☺️
