Came in during an off-hour (4PM on a Wednesday) and got great service. Rey's Cuban sandwich was very good with the suggested rice and the bathroom themes were nice and sanitary as well.

Felt like home I just moved from Miami and needed my Cuban food and this was sooo good! I had vaca frita, fire fried yuca with cheese, and empanadas! And a virgin pina coloda ! All the vibes after work

I loved this place before they closed to remodel. But the customer service is really bad since they reopened. I’ve been there three times since they reopened and the service has been bad all three times. The last time no one acknowledged me at the bar. So I just got up and left. That’s bad because I really love their food. I also sent them two emails with no reply.

Simply nasty and disappointing. This place used to be great and was my go-to spot whenever I craved authentic Cuban cuisine.

I recently visited the restaurant and ordered the Grilled Chicken Breast meal. The chicken was undercooked, and the side salad was just thrown on the plate — very unappetizing and sloppy in presentation. I told the waitress that the chicken was undercooked, and she said she would speak to her supervisor, but she did so with an attitude. The manager never came to the table.

When I finally asked for the bill, she brought it without removing the chicken meal, even though she saw I hadn’t eaten it. She never apologized or mentioned what her supervisor had said. I paid the bill and walked out.

More recently, I decided to give them another try through Uber Eats, thinking the poor restaurant experience was a one-off. I ordered a Chicken Sandwich with Rice and Beans and the Chicken Tostones Supremos. When the order arrived, there were no condiments or sauces for the Tostones — everything was just tossed into the bag.

The chicken sandwich was tasteless; the shredded chicken was undercooked, greasy, and unpleasant. It tasted as if the sandwich had been heated in a microwave rather than freshly cooked. The Tostones Supremos were loaded with cheese, and the plantains were hard and oily.

I will never return to this restaurant again and do not recommend it to anyone.

Review for Poppy’s Cuban Grill:
I’m very disappointed with my recent experience at Poppy’s Cuban Grill. When I received my meal, I found a hardware nail inside my food. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about cleanliness and food safety in their kitchen.

I expect restaurants to follow proper health and safety standards, and this situation could have caused a serious injury. I hope management takes this matter seriously and investigates how something like this could happen.

Please be cautious if you decide to order from here until they address this issue properly.

The food is NOT good anymore. I used to come here prior to them closing. They just reopened and the place is remodeled, but the food is awful and overpriced. Never again. Yuck.
