Just a terrible experience. They ruined my sisters wedding dinner. Most of the food wasn't cooked correctly and and it took forever to come out. The server we had just wasn't good at his job and was doing a terrible job at trying to make the situation better before I got worse. Nobody in our party ever disrespected them and we spoke to them with decency and they didn't treat us the same. I wouldn't recommend this place for anybody go somewhere else. It's just not worth it. Will they will do a horrible job and then blame you. It's ridiculous.

Had a 8:30pm reservation and was told they were no longer seating. Defeats the purpose of a reservation.

I visited Tuesday with a party of nine at 11:10 AM for lunch, with separate checks. While we understood that our server was overwhelmed and that service was slow as a result, my concern is with the handling of my order. My party received their meals and began eating to avoid cold food while waiting for my dish. The server repeatedly mentioned that she didn’t know what happened to my order—lost ticket, etc.—and finally, it arrived at 12:30 PM, by which time everyone else had finished their meals and taken their to-go boxes. I asked for a discount due to the inconvenience and was given a 10% discount on my bill. Later, we learned that my dish had mistakenly been sent to another table in a different area of the restaurant. This mix-up is completely unacceptable. I frequent Parkside and have always had positive experiences, so I expected better than a mere $2.79 discount on a $27 meal. I ended up not sharing the celebratory meal with my party, instead spending over an hour picking food from others’ plates. I reached out to management before writing this review, however they did not answer.

My husband left a review yesterday for this restaurant & your response is complete BS. No one cursed or used any foul language nor was anyone disruptive. You should’ve put a stronger server on a large party who can handle it. The manager only came out with excuses instead of solutions to accommodate the chaos the SERVER/kitchen/bar caused. Waiting 30 minutes for a glass of water is insane. My husband and I have been in the restaurant industry for almost 20 years. The response that I just read from the “owner” who was not present during our experience is very tasteless like the burnt appetizer they tried to serve us. How dare you say it was our fault? We were served drinks in dirty & broken glasses. I could actually sue you guys. It was only 36 people in the restaurant at the time. & that is including my party of 18 & the staff. So who’s in the wrong here? If you couldn’t accommodate us we would have gladly went somewhere else. & don’t worry I wouldn’t even drive past this restaurant let alone eat here again. Thanks for nothing. Please hire some new staff, cause your current staff isn’t representing this company well. Good luck staying open!

Absolutely terrible.. came in for brunch after getting married and it was an absolute shhhh show….. service was subpar at best… apps came after entrees .. beverages took 30 minutes. Food quality mediocre… I wish it could have been a better experience due to it being my wedding day.

The food was okay, but the service extremely slow and inefficient. I received my meal in a bowl that had MULTIPLE large chips in the edge of the bowl. I pointed this out to the waitress who claimed she didn’t notice it when she brought it to me. Also, they added a 20% tip to the bill, which was not deserved by our waitress.

Great food and atmosphere. The only issue I had was the wait time. I went for lunch by myself and it took a while before someone came to greet me (about 10 minutes). I'm guessing there was miscommunication or something along those lines which is not a big deal. Otherwise love this place nice staff!

Had them rated 5 star before but Our past visit this week was horrible. Took my wife and daughter for brunch on our anniversary and the experience was awful and so was the food. I don't know what happened, we've been coming here for years but this week was not good. I basically spent $100 for food I ended up giving to my dogs. Highly doubt if we'll be back.

Gone down hill and deleted my five-star review and replacing it while we sit here wondering if we're going to be able to leave. Finished eating a while ago and held hostage waiting for, oh, she's back, we're gonna get to leave! Somehow, my $38.95 steak is now $40.95. Maybe they are charging $2 extra for the time on the grill to make it medium well instead of medium rare like I ordered. Never mind, back to waiting, she brought the check but hasn't been back to take payment. Poor quality overcooked steak and poor service, won't be back. PS... still waiting... Hey she's back, only 15-20 minutes to get check and pay. I asked if I could substitute asparagus for the potatoes and she said yes, it came out with both. Evidently that's what the $2 was for, not overcooking the steak. And if you're wondering, now waiting for my credit card to return so I can leave.
I normally tip very well, 25% range but the $5 I left was more than deserved even though the ticket was $44.

The first time I went to this restaurant we had amazing experience with both the food and service. This time the experience was not great. The food was cold and not close to as good the first time. Our server never checked on us and our drinks sat empty. We had to track her down through the hostess stand. We will not be returning unfortunately.

My work group went here for lunch for our Christmas Luncheon. Our server was pleasant enough, but she was stretched thin and wasn't around to keep our drinks full. Our group ordered the Steak & Eggs, Cinnamon Toast Crunch French Toast, the Cajun Chicken Pasta, the Fried Chicken Sandwich, Fried Green Tomatoes, Chicken Wings, and the Roasted Brussels Sprouts. The food was expensive for a lunchtime frame. Some ladies ordered cocktails, lemonade, and water. The food arrived quickly. The appetizers arrived at the same time as the mains. Everything had a different taste to it, I'm assuming because of the spices that they use. My steak was overcooked, and the potatoes had so many odd spices that it was, for me, unedible. The over easy eggs were very tasty, and that was the entirety of what I ate for my lunch. It was not my kind of food. It was a nice place to try out, but I won't be going back. Once was more than enough for me.
