Silany's restaurant lakay

It’s a small restaurant with terrible & food. I ordered the griot & fried plantains and the meat was mostly bones and fat & bunch of small burnt hard pieces. The pieces of plantains are HUGE & are not cooked all the way through. The sauce they give you has a thick layer of oil on top. Probably the worst Haitian food I’ve had. This coming from an actual Haitian.

That’s the third time I went over there, I had so far “pate kode” with everything in it , “diri blan ak legim”, rice and beans with turkey and soup joumou. Everything was great, I called ahead to order my food and I had it on time.
I’m currently eating their soup joumou while posting this, it’s yummy!

I have been there twice and the food can be much better for Haitian food...The black rice was extremely greasy and the turkey meat was way to dry. Please do better.

I called 1hr before I got there they told me a few minutes when I got there I waited for more than 1hr. When the food finally came the rice was swimming in oil the $ 45 fish was so small it was only bone, the frie plantain I ordered never came until I left the place, every time I asked the young guy in the front he said they frying it not a cup of water was offered no napkins on the table. I had to get up and take a roll of paper towels from another table. The video music was nasty disgusting not family friendly. The worst part was when I talked to the owner about the service I experienced he was not nice at all trying to yell at me like I was wrong not him because I want a fish an sauce he tried to give me a fried fish no customer service at all.

Let me tell you I have eaten at most Haitian restaurants in Atlanta and surrounding areas. This one right here was the best one with overall points. To the customer service to the sauce. I ordered the turkey and black rice. The turkey was seasoned well but not overcooked. The black rice was wonderful. I like to pour my sauce on my rice and always ask for two so I can dip my turkey. Freshness of the raw onions was perfection. The picles were spicy and vinegary. To add a hint of spicy. Too bad I stay far, but I will return 😌 overall 5 out. 5. I'm excited I found a place where everything was perfect for the Haitian dish I love!

And they end up charging me 116$ for nothing

The good and the atmosphere is great but when it comes to ordering or even picking up your food when you want it on time that's an epic fail. I've ordered here 2x it never fails when I order ahead of time the food is never ready I don't get it. But, other than that the food is amazing.
