Yes it reminded me St Louis fried rice except for the, what i thought was egg food young gravy, it was not that at all. Other than that everything was great. We need Taste 8 in Montgomery Alabama! 😃

I'm from the Lou. So when my cousin sent me a dm about this place I needed to verify. I ordered the classics ham St. Paul and shrimp fried rice. I sat down (most of the time you call in your order to go,, not many sitting spots), bit into that St. Paul, and the image of the Chop Suey off of Jenny Station Rd. popped in my head. When I talked to the young lady at the POS she said her father is from the Lou. This place has my StL stamp of approval.

I just bought food from there the fried rice had a taste of old oil... The boneless spare ribs had the taste as well of old oil.. I will not be going back...

My experience tonight at Taste 8 was so fulfilling. While eat my food I write this so I couldn’t even wait. But the environment is so peaceful and customer service is the best 10 out 10. This is a family owned business and the children has great mannerism and they bring so much joy! I just give my Gratitude to Management and there team. Keep putting a smile on customers faces

Not good, yuck!! I should have known when I visited at lunchtime and the place was empty and I did not hear any cooking noise from the back from called in orders. Only people I saw was the cashier and a toddler looking at a tablet. Ordered the shrimp lo mein lunch special and asked to get pork fried rice. Was told there would be extra charge. I got the egg roll also. The total for that was over $12 bucks!! Got my food at it was the smallest lunch portion I ever seen. The rice was dark brown and very greasy. It had a weird taste. The shrimp were tiny and they use noodles that are very thick…I mean really really thick! It tasted bland. The egg roll was very skinny and not tasty. I didn’t eat none of this and just threw away. Didn’t want to risk getting sick before the Super Bowl. Total waste of $12 bucks.
Unsure what these previous reviewers were eating because this spot isn’t it. Won’t be returning
