This is the best Chinese food in the Atlanta area, because it’s St. Louis style. I am from St. Louis, born and raised (A Soldan Tiger), and this food is from there too, but cooked in Lawrenceville, GA. Excellent food!

They were so nice and got our food out quickly, even though they were about to close. Their food was delicious. I will be coming back with a bigger tip next time.

I recent drive to St. Louis for a family event. Sadly I was not able to sample the ahinese food as I've been told is phenomenal. As luck would have it, a client mentions that there actually IS a place that serves St. Louis styled chinese food. After a lot of yelp searching, Taste 8 came up. The reviews are spot on. While I've never had St. Louis chinese food, the flavors of the food were worth the drive. I will be back! Note, this is a take out restaurant.

Decided to give them a try based on reviews, very disappointed. Got the house fried rice, house egg Foo Yun, and red Curry. I will continue to drive another mile to Lavender for good food.

The first time we visited the food was great. The second time the rice and the sesame chicken was terrible. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone because it is a hit or miss. I think it is that way because the young children cook the food sometimes. There is no place to sit and the service was mediocre both times. The restaurant was clean.

Anyone from St. Louis, MO understands how hard it is to get Chinese food *anywhere* that is prepared how it is in STL. The struggle is real!! So when some other STL people who now live in ATL metro told me this place was the real deal, I had to come.I walked in and explained what the streets were saying. The owner said "yep, that's where we're from." I replied with one question: does that mean you sell St. Pauls? He replied in the affirmative, so I skipped the menu and went right into my standard order: one chicken St. Paul and a half order of plain fried rice with extra egg and gravy. Dear reader, it was perfection. The St. Paul had the softest bread to ever touch human fingers. The rice was dark brown as it should be and the gravy dressed it right up. I needed to add soy sauce but was so into eating that it was gone before I could. This place is like an hour from my house, so I can't come frequently but I will certainly be back!
