Called to ask a simple question, no disrespect intended. I wanted to know if the pork and chicken maybe get cross contaminated like most restarunts do(no big big deal) . He got offended and hung up on me. Had to call back and told me I was wasting his time. So if you want to eat here, don't worry about how your food is handled. If you stick by that code, this place is for you! Don't ask how the food is prepared and he will be happy.... I hate giving bad reviews but I have never experienced this type of disrespect. YAH knows I'm telling the truth!

I've been going to Contreju since about 2016. I don't know what the hell these people with these low reviews are talking about. This food is outstanding! I don't know what's wrong with these people's pallets. They obviously don't know good food when they taste it. This food has so much flavor. If I could eat it every day, I would. And the owner is so sweet. She greets me every time I come, and ask me how I'm doing. I would say the people that are saying they are rude, have no respect for their elders. I stand by Contreju. I love you guys. Keep doing what you're doing, and don't change a thing. Your food is amazing!

The food was so good it didn't leave the parking lot and I didn't get to take a picture . I ordered th brown stew chicken it was falling off the bone the flavor was amazing. Rice and peas were good and slightly sweet. Me and my baby fought over them plantains! I've tried other jamaican spots and no place can top contreju.Aside from the food the staff was pleasant , transaction was easy and although the food was done before I could turn around and sit, it was piping hot and delicious!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! The lady at the register was very rude. I have never seen such rude treatment from a restaurant establishment. I was looking forward to getting some good Jamaican food. But I don't trust people handling my food if they are that rude. I also saw a roach on the counter that is just sad and disgusting.

The lady at the register was very rude to me and had a very bad attitude. I asked to use the restroom and she said no instantly and being rude saying the bathroom was locked. She then proceeds to rush me to order even though she was assisting another customer. I advised her I would rather wait for her to finsih ringing up the customer in front of me before I ordered bc that's the polite thing to do. She then said she refused to serve me and said I could leave and was just so rude. maybe she was having a bad day but I never been there and needed a second to look at the menu. I will never be returning there again Due to the horrible customer service, and once I saw roaches i left. I wouldn't trust someone like that cooking my food.
