Glad it’s finally back open. I’ve been coming here for 40 years and it’s still great. Prices went up but the portions are larger so it works out.
Bring cash, they have a 3% up charge for credit cards.

Should have read the sign coming in instead of leaving. “Everyone’s Taste Buds Are Different No Refund On Food.” That says it all. Was clean, employees were ho-Humm, but the food was totally NASTY Hamburger not cooked done, Brunswick Stew was so salty you puckered on the first bit, BBQ Pork was watery no flavor except Salt Please don’t waste your money. TERRIBLY BAD!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. My recent visit was incredibly disappointing, and I feel obligated to share my experience to warn others.

First off, we were greeted by a cashier who acted like our presence was an inconvenience. When we ordered, I discovered that they no longer have a freestyle drink machine, so all beverages are now canned or bottled. A minor annoyance, but it set the tone.

The food was where things really went downhill. I ordered the Texas cheeseburger, and it came without chili. When I went back to request it, the employee behind the counter took my burger with bare hands, added the chili in the back, and handed it back to me—still with no gloves or barrier. This would be unacceptable for any customer, but being pregnant, I’m especially careful about food safety.

The chili was so salty it was nearly inedible, and halfway through, I found the burger was still raw inside. The coleslaw had no flavor and was basically just mayonnaise with some cabbage. My mother’s Brunswick stew was also way too salty to enjoy. Even the fries tasted like they came from the frozen food aisle at Walmart.

We spent $40 only to walk away frustrated and disappointed. If you’re considering eating here, I strongly recommend saving your money and either making a similar meal at home or going somewhere else. The quality has gone way down, and there are far better options out there.

Wasn't the same bbq pork sandwich as I remember. Seemed vinegar base was the only option. And pricey for just a sandwich, fries, and a drink.

So happy that they're re-opened!!! The stew is the bomb!!!!!! Yellow jackets are good too. The place looks great!!

Went for first time last week.
Asked customer walking out what was his favorite-he said the hot dog...warning sign here.
Service-took 30 minutes to order, gal had a hard time getting order in.
Food, chicken, bbq and stew-not tasty at all. Was dry, sauce was like a jarred sweet sauce.
Will not be back.

Lunch, ordered smoked wing-they did not taste smoked, seemed like leftover-dry and the sauce was out of a jar
Wife ordered smoked chicken-sauce on side, chicken covered in sauce and did not taste smoked at all, more like baked
Brunswick stew is just ok
Jalapeno cornbread tasted like a mix with 2 small pieces of jalapeño pepper. Was icky sweet.
Ordered unsweet tea, got sweet, had to go back to counter to get correct.
Drinks are from a can-I mean, why?
Will not go again.

Good food and friendly staff. Space was clean and well kept up. If I am back in the area I will come in again!

Only reason I'm giving one starts is I love this place but the money and customers you can make at dinner time is the best i would have to come after 5 PM and now you guys are not open after that say I wanted to bring my whole family that would make a good bit of money for y'all but not able to

Seriously, they were closed for a year and 9 months and the food is garbage. Took 45 minutes to order and get food, the stew was ice old, the BBQ sandwich was dry and cold, and the chicken strips are way overpriced especially considering that now they are processed chicken. I was so excited after almost being closed for 2 years, only to come in and be so so so disappointed. Don't waste time or money on this place, and this coming from someone who used to absolutely love this place. ?? Honestly this place deserves 0 stars but in order to leave a review it made me give them a 1.
