We came to this place for years it was amazing! Ever since the sons try to take over it really sucks they have changed everything. Especially the BBQ sauce. But I got a salad very poor quality the croutons tasted like something out of the food bank old and nasty just like the salad even the tea sucks bring back the master cause they know not what they do! Very rude people won't be in business long ! Nasties BBQ place I've been to in a while.

The food is disgusting. My son and I had their burgers and looked like a sloppy Joe with a boiled patty .

Bbq sauce wasn't good imo, just hot sauce, ketchup, and vinegar.Meat was good and tender, had a good smoke flavor. My wife had a cup of stew, and it had a wild game taste.

The mac and cheese came as shown in the photo... just a watery soupy mess. The mac was off enough that I asked the hostess if this was normal and she said it, 'might be a little watery, but yes.' The mac soup tasted like the rind of a parmesan cheese wheel with the consistency of water. I hope this isn't the normal mac.

The pork sandwich was good at least!

$12 for a pork sandwich and mac soup

Food was outstanding. Prices were good. Owner was very nice and welcoming. Highly recommend the Brunswick stew and the yellow jackets!

Food was ok, didn't really like the onion rings though. I'm giving this place one star because they wouldn't give me free water. Tap water in a cup should always be free. I won't be eating here again primarily for this reason. It's unfortunate because it's right next door to me and would have been an easy walk for me.

I should’ve read the reviews before coming. Sigh.. I was craving bbq so I spent $80 to itch that scratch. No seasoning or flavor. I felt like a real carnivore eating the ribs with no seasoning. The sauce is too tangy so I didnt want to drown the ribs. The Mac and cheese is Mac and soup- blah. The corn tasted like it swam in artificial butter, again no flavor and left a bad taste. Pulled pork.. that was alright with the toast. Cole slaw had way too much mayo and noooo flavor. Baked beans, good. Pies… alright. Oh and chopped chicken wasn’t all that great. I had tossed out most of what I paid for unfortunately.

Cold fries and old slaw on chili dog.

Glad it’s finally back open. I’ve been coming here for 40 years and it’s still great. Prices went up but the portions are larger so it works out.
Bring cash, they have a 3% up charge for credit cards.

Should have read the sign coming in instead of leaving. ā€œEveryone’s Taste Buds Are Different No Refund On Food.ā€ That says it all. Was clean, employees were ho-Humm, but the food was totally NASTY Hamburger not cooked done, Brunswick Stew was so salty you puckered on the first bit, BBQ Pork was watery no flavor except Salt Please don’t waste your money. TERRIBLY BAD!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. My recent visit was incredibly disappointing, and I feel obligated to share my experience to warn others.

First off, we were greeted by a cashier who acted like our presence was an inconvenience. When we ordered, I discovered that they no longer have a freestyle drink machine, so all beverages are now canned or bottled. A minor annoyance, but it set the tone.

The food was where things really went downhill. I ordered the Texas cheeseburger, and it came without chili. When I went back to request it, the employee behind the counter took my burger with bare hands, added the chili in the back, and handed it back to me—still with no gloves or barrier. This would be unacceptable for any customer, but being pregnant, I’m especially careful about food safety.

The chili was so salty it was nearly inedible, and halfway through, I found the burger was still raw inside. The coleslaw had no flavor and was basically just mayonnaise with some cabbage. My mother’s Brunswick stew was also way too salty to enjoy. Even the fries tasted like they came from the frozen food aisle at Walmart.

We spent $40 only to walk away frustrated and disappointed. If you’re considering eating here, I strongly recommend saving your money and either making a similar meal at home or going somewhere else. The quality has gone way down, and there are far better options out there.
