Dels Kitchen Soul Food

My wife loves soul food, and we were looking for a great spot before a long drive home. We arrived before they were officially open, but what happened next was truly above and beyond.

As we were searching for other options, a young man came out to take out the trash. I asked him when they would open, and he explained that his father was out getting supplies and they'd be open soon. Then, he offered to serve us from the few items he had ready.

We were simply hoping for some wings, collards, and mac and cheese. While the mac and cheese wasn't on the menu that day, he graciously offered to drop the chicken fresh for us and prepare the collards, even though they weren't officially serving yet. I accepted, and he proceeded to cook our order right away.

The food was well worth the short wait. We were so appreciative of their incredible accommodation. They didn't have to open their doors or serve us until everything was fully ready, but their kindness made our day.

I was only in the area for a reunion, but I would absolutely return just to visit this restaurant again. Highly recommend to friends and family. I hope to see this spot thrive!

When you walk into a restaurant and the chef is there You know that is dedication to his art As he served up our turkey. When we got home with our meals I forgot to take a picture as I was very hungry, but yes after reading this review go get some delicious food x

The owner is always professional, and he has impeccable customer service. The food was hot and fresh and the wait is never that loong.The carrot cake is awesome we loved it.

Overall experience 10/10, first time here from northwest GA! When I tell you it is worth the drive, I mean it. Walking into Dels it might be small, but it packs a big punch with flavor and customer service. Getting to chat with Del about his spot, was just icing on the cake. We got the ribs, jerk chicken, collard greens, Mac n cheese, and yams. Ribs are full of flavor, but if you like some heat to you meat definitely get the jerk chicken. Nothing takes you home like some solid Mac n cheese, and the greens are just full of flavor and cooked just right. But when I say the yams hit, I did not expect yams to be my favorite on the plate -the sweet cinnamon flavoring just brings it over the top.

Today was my first experience and it was fantastic! The customer service by the owner was top tier, and the variety of food options for good prices was amazing. I felt very welcomed and the energy was great. Once I got home to enjoy my meal with my family, my mouth was on fire with flavor! Everything was delicious and I will definitely be returning!

I paid $ 19.00 due a meal which was meatloaf (which came with or without yellow rice. The food was amazing guys! He was nice from the time I entered until the time I departed from his establishment! A must try! Will definitely be returning! Meatloaf with yellow rice, lima beans and yams. Every bite was delicious!

Very Hospitable, kind, and the yams were in point!!! Def some of my favorite fried chicken I had this year and I haven’t even finished half the plate. I will be returning and sharing with co-workers and friends. Del Did Dat!
