Not sure how this place has a 3.5 rating, unless the food taste is inconsistent. Best oxtail I’ve had in years. I visited from out of town and had the goat soup, chicken roti and oxtail rice and peas and cabbage. Everything was delicious. If you’re looking at reviews, disregard that rating because my experience was not a 3.5 experience.

I think it’s really lame that you all do not give plantain with meals just because they are online/doordash orders. Are online customers not as deserving or something?? That makes no sense. I’ve never ate at a Jamaican or Caribbean place that didn’t give plantain with a meal, whether online or in person. Y’all should change that whack rule.

Their oxtail is top tier as well as the jerk chicken wings. Great portion sizes too.

Unfortunately, the service at the counter was very disappointing. There was no greeting upon arrival, nor a thank you or goodbye at the end of the interaction. When I asked about the meal special, the response was curt and off-putting, as though I should have already known the menu.

Customer service matters. Restaurants should understand that patrons are not obligated to support businesses that fail to provide basic courtesy and professionalism. With so many dining options available, customers can and will choose to spend their hard-earned money elsewhere for better service and food.

I will not be returning to this establishment. Investing in proper customer service training and hiring approachable, courteous staff would greatly improve the atmosphere and overall experience. This is unfortunate because the food is very good.

The food is always great every time I eat here. The service is usually pretty good as well. There were a couple instances where I didn't quite get the best service, but it was still good overall.

I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to Hilltop Restaurant for absolutely killing it with the catering for my daughter Raylisa's Sweet 16 celebration on November 29th, 2025!

Chefs Kemar and Odale were AMAZING to work with - they were so creative and helped us customize a menu that was a HIT! I loved that they took the lead and suggested some amazing dishes, like the Saltfish Tostones appetizer, which was a GAME CHANGER (everyone was begging for the recipe and asking where we got it from.

The food was OUTSTANDING, and the presentation was beautiful. But what really stood out was the exceptional service the waitstaff were professional, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. And the best part? It was affordable and worth every penny.

I highly recommend Hilltop Restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food, great service, and a team that's passionate about making your event special. Can't wait to work with them again.

Listen... the chicken Rasta Pasta is a dynamic bowl of flavor the sauce the onions everything i mean it is absolutely delicious I've had it twice and every time it was on point..

It was our second time, we walked in and was greeted by the short gentleman with the beard 👌 his attitude was pleasant warm and welcoming.
That gentleman really made our day,
Ask for him!.
He had us taste a few things before we ordered!
Hands down the food was great, the curry goat and white Rice Mac& Cheese & Sorrel Drink, no regrets..
