The food was horrible I return my plate twice before I felt ok with the plate. The only reasons I stayed calm was because of the guy at the front register. The cook was horrible bad attitude and the first two plates the chicken was burnt and tasted like lighter fluid the third plate was dry it was a little better but all I can say is I will never return again. My wife had the Rib tips they were nasty the Mac and cheese was old smashie and the collar greens was nasty

OMG The brisket was amazing best I’ve had in a while! The beef sausage, onion rings and fries were great too. The Mac and Cheese was a treat as well. The staff were all super friendly oh and don’t forget to try the from scratch lemonade!

It was funny how I came across this place. I was looking for something different to eat with my husband and I looked up and saw a sign that said Vons Barbecue. I told him let's try it. It's behind the Wayfield in Downtown Lithonia. We walked in and this nice man gave us a breakdown on the whole menu and what their number one sellers are. He was so sweet and the owner even came to greet us. Everything was so good and well worth it. This is a must come back. His prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is family oriented.

I'm going to be really honest, as usual! The BBQ which is the main attraction is not giving for me. First the meat was hard and chewy. The BBQ sauce disgusting i absolutely hated it. I ordered rib tips and they were very much hard. I ordered a chopped chicken sandwich didn't care for it either. First most of everyone the menu wasn't available and it was 2pm they close at 5-6 pm that day. I kept chasing things and they didn't have it. The menu listed is pre covid. The sides are a la carte. The meat portions are good but the BBQ was bland hard and the BBQ sauce does it no justice. I got a sweet tea and could taste soap it wasn't cleaned properly. The potato salad was decent the okra was good and hot. I spent almost $30 on two plates and was very very much disappointed. Never again! And yall need to stop lying to people because you know them and tell the truth. DO BETTER!

I had the chopped chicken cheese steak with spicy bbq sauce on the side. It was really good. So was the sauce. Staff really nice. Restaurant clean. I'll definitely go again.A quick note: google has you turning into an apartment complex and tells you you've arrived. Keep going down the left side of the property until you get to a small road toward the back corner. Turn left and you'll see Von's.

I like finding those food joints that are out of the way. This is one of them. Come here for ribs. Their sides are good too. I have made a few recommendations for Lithonia restaurants. These places are so good that I want people to try them but I’m afraid to let the secret out and my joints will no longer be just my welll kept secret.

Insanely good ribs! Literally cooked perfectly. I can't wait until I am in Lithonia again, will be stopping by. Only complaint is they are closed Sunday-Tuesday.
