I visited Captain D's in Locust Grove, GA. The restaurant was empty, no customers. The service was good but the food was below average or worse. I had the 15 ct shrimp with fries, coleslaw and hushpuppies. The shrimp was average with cocktail sauce. The fries were terrible and the puppies were putrid. I don't like giving bad reviews but I have to be honest with them. This review isn't a reflection on all Captain D's restaurants. Just the Locust Grove location. I hope this helps you. Thank you.

This location was good before, not sure what has changed. I was there a few weeks ago with family members. It smelled terrible. I went into the restroom and it was very dirty. When I looked for ketchup, there were two very sticky packs in the dispenser. (I told the gentlemen behind the counter that more ketchup was needed, to which he barely responded.) Everything I touched was sticky - the table, the back of the chair, the condiment holders. The fried shrimp and breads ticks tasted odd. If I needed something, like a sauce or a to-go box, it took a long time to attract the attention of the people behind the counter, they saw me standing there but took a long time to see what I needed. Won't be going back.

Came here on 9/30 around 9:30pm. I understand they close at 10:00, but if you’re open please serve edible food! I spent $23 on BURNT FISH & cold Fries!! Normally in the day time this place is good, but tonight was extremely disappointing. I didn’t look at my food while I was in the drive thru, I got home & say this MESS! I was going to go back but I knew they were closed. I want my money back or at least another 2 plates!!

The staff made me feel welcomed and very happy,which is great to be a place to have great food and few minutes to relax 🙏 in this busy world ,we all live in.I managed a restaurant,for over 20 years and the view from the counter was amazing ,it was very clean.Keep it up, your care and look forward to stopping in for a meal.Locust Grove Is the cleanest restaurant, I've been in a long time.Great job to the General Manager staff, I know it takes a team to maintain these standards.

The food was so dirty greasy tasting. We got a family package of fish and chicken. We ate 1 piece of chicken and 2 1/2 pieces of fish and through the rest away. This was a road trip stop that will never happen again.

Food was cooked fresh. The girl at the counter was very nice. Sitting at the table eating, we noticed the wallpaper on the walls, was attached using a staple gun!?!?

Place looks nice but receiving food took a bit long. Got home to find that I didn't have the extra shrimp that I paid for. The Okra was fried HARD. For what it's worth, the cashier did smile.

The fried okra was cooked to look like the day before! The only reason the fish was hot is we ordered it cooked country style or i guarantee it would have been cold too! Will never spend another penny at this restraunt! Couldn't even get a descent drink out of the fountain machine either.
