I always underestimated this place because I always saw it as a pick up only type of restaurant. Maybe that's a byproduct of Covid thinking for me.
The other day I actually saw families eating here and realized that the food looks even more delectable on a serving plate than it does in a container.
The serving sizes are huge and the presentation is alluring.
I have already planned to make this a date night go to in the near future.
I encourage you to not put off until tomorrow what you can enjoy today.
Don't go on Monday they are closed.
Enjoy your meal.

Good place. I get their Tom Yum soup at least once a week. Steamed dumplings are good also.

I have been eating at Sunrise China ever since it opened. I would have to say that I have ate there no less than 100 times in the past 10 years. I have to give Sunrise China the benefit of the doubt with some of these reviews. I challenge anyone to eat at any restaurant (or even cooking at home) 100 times and not have an issue once in a while. I will say that out all the times I have eaten there, maybe I have had five (5) bad experiences out of 100. Each time they were more than willing to do what was needed to correct everything. When you have at least a 95% efficiency rating, I think that is pretty good! My kids loved eating there growing-up and when they are here… they still do!

Anyone who’s into asian food knows the “three star rule”. IMO, this place is the perfect Chinese-American restaurant. All the food I’ve had is phenomenal.
If you go to a chinse restaurant or any other Asian ran restaurant for that matter, and the service is what we consider “amazing” in America… be prepared for the food to suck. That’s just how it works. Our server, who was the only working in the front and taking to-go orders wasn’t rude as some reviews said. She was quick, forgot NOTHING, and didn’t need to be asked a second time for anything. She was quick and didn’t have time to small talk with everyone, which I prefer.
Now the food? Absolutely phenomenal. I grew up on Chinese American take out, since my family aren’t very big on home cooked meals. Chinese take out is to me what pot roast or meatloaf is for older people. I stuck to the Dinner specials section of the menu like our server recommended. For (I believe) $12, I got a bowl of wonton soup, kung pao chicken, fried rice and a pork egg roll. It was all phenomenal!! The soup was clearly homemade, you can tell my wontons if they’re handmade or purchased based on how they’re folded. If the soup is very very yellow-like, it’s made with chicken powder. This was almost clear, which means it was homemade. The taste was perfection. The kung pao was not breaded (it’s not supposed to be) but still perfectly crispy. The sauce was spot on and the portion was very large! The fried rice was just as I liked it and they even had Hot Chilli Oil (a stable of a decent Chinese place). The egg roll I ended up taking to go and eating as a midnight snack and it was perfect! I even got a little sauce container of chilli oil to go, that the server didn’t even charge me for!
But listening to poor reviews, you’re doing yourself a disservice.

food was nasty just like that lady’s attitude .??♀️
Togo order. Food was quick. Rice was hard. Crab rangoons were stale. Fried chicken for the garlic chicken was more like boiled battered chicken. Yes it was moist but the "fried" wasn't even close to being fried. Garlic wasn't even minced nor cooked it was just peeled and thrown in. No garlic flavor in it. Honestly this used to be the spot... But now it's pretty bad. Inside looked messy. The service was straight to the point to receive our order and go. Which I will say was good. Friendly customer service too. Hunan chicken tasted like boiled chicken. Some spice and flavor to it.. very mid. Not a big fan this go round. I think I'm going to wait a while to come back. Hopefully they will get there cooking together. Like I said it used to be the Chinese spot... Now it's not. I will update in the future if I get a chance.
