My family and I just tried Cameals for the first time today and it was absolutely excellent. Jodi was our server and she was so so friendly, accommodating, and all around has great vibes. My son ordered the kids chicken tenders and it was a nice portion for the price. We ordered the spicy goat curry, rasta pasta with shrimp, and jerk wings as an appetizer. The food was DELICIOUS! Best jerk wings we've ever had, best goat we've ever had, AND the best shrimp! We will definitely be back. Thanks Jodi, and Chef!
The food is so delicious and amazing. I can taste the savory flavor of the amazing food. Best Jamaican restaurant I ever been to hands down. Make sure yall come visit it’s worth it.
I loved it! 100/10! I’ll be back!
That rasta pasta was not it. Idk if the chef was having a bad day but it was kinda awful. I’m not trying to be rude or anything. The pasta was bland and had no real seasoning and the chicken was so dry that I couldn’t even put my fork through it! It was straight up like beef jerky consistency and inedible. Its crazy that this came from the same kitchen as the sweet chili wings because those were pretty good!
The chicken in the rasta pasta though? No. It was like a chew toy.
I normally don’t do food reviews, but this is a must in hopes to save someone else. I don’t believe in hurting anyone’s place of business at all, but they definitely need to re-evaluate the cook or recipes. This was our first visit, and unfortunately, it’ll be our last. I didn’t even bother calling back for a refund of over $50—I just chalked it up as a loss. I really wish I had read more reviews before deciding to try this place. We usually eat at another Jamaican establishment, but it was closed so we thought we’d give this place a shot.
I do not recommend this restaurant, especially if you're planning to feed kids or family. The food is extremely spicy, to the point of being inedible. You’d need a very high spice tolerance to enjoy it. I’ve had oxtails many times before, and they’re typically served in a flavorful sauce—not spicy. Here, they were heavily seasoned with jerk spices, which completely overpowered the dish. The jerk chicken was even worse—so spicy it couldn’t be eaten.
We won’t be returning. I hope they read this and get it right for others.
This restaurant has the most amazing Jamaican food. & The Owner and manager are such kind and loving people. Every time I come in to get food, I feel right at home. Plus they have amazing waitresses who are always at service to my wants and needs.
My friend and I had high hopes for this place. We came on a Friday evening, and there were no other customers, which should have been a red flag. Upon arrival, we learned that there was no liquor and only wine, beer, and mimosas. The mimosas were decent. However, the food was underwhelming. It wasn’t terrible, but could have been easily replicated at home and wasn’t worth the cost. Furthermore, there were no desserts whatsoever. The entire experience was disappointing and a bit awkward as we were the only ones there the entire time.
I ordered 2 jerk chicken plates, brown stew chicken and cabbage. I have a strong Caribbean food background and am very versed in this particular type of cuisine. The spice level was extremely high and made the food unable to eat for all that ordered. It was as if someone poured too much jerk season on the chicken. The rice was saturated in spicy gravy as well. The side of cabbage I ordered was sour and I was not able to eat it as well. I called to express my concern about the food and the person that answered, nonchalantly apologized and did not offer to make it right . This was $50 gone down the drain from a local business I tried to support. I hope this review helps a future diner and also the business to taste the quality of their food before sending it out to paying customers. I also hope that this will encourage better customer service skills.
Everything was good but the food. I went in there to order from the dinner menu but they only served brunch on sundays.. still decided to stay and give it to a try. I regret it! They were out of grits! So I ordered the crab cake and seasoned potatoes.. they came out with crab cakes that tasted like they were premade.. and NO SEASONED POTATOES but TATOR TOTS! The frozen Tots.. $30 for that. My partner ordered the patties which tasted like frozen patties you buy from the grocery store. We purchased the Margaritas which tasted like straight margarita mix nothing else! Overall service 10/10, the server was excellent. My food and drinks 4/10! I’m very sad. Especially for the prices

We just went to this restaurant and it was AMAZING!! we ordered the smeared salmon, jerk chicken, curry shrimp, and chopped cheese, fried Oreos, crab fries, and jerk chicken appetizer. I could not express how tasty and flavorful the food was. Will give it a 11/10. Service was great and got food quick! Jamaican margarita tasted yummy as well. Food is extremely bland, Mac and cheese simply just needs to never be prepared that way…. Just noodles with cheese sauce (no seasoning). I have been 3 times because I want to give them a chance to fix the food and no place is perfect…however, I can’t go back …..the service is AWESOME, atmosphere great… but food is NOT SEASONED and please bake the Mac and cheese… use a different cheese so it doesn’t taste like box Mac n cheese…add some seasoning… I’m really sad that I can’t visit again. I had the fish and several other dishes, but all bland.

I give them a 4 star the food is really good I do recommend going in person and dine in, I uber eats from this location & they definitely don’t know how to follow simple instructions. I ordered shrimp tostones and got chicken. And it was not worth the $45 spent, They definitely need to do better with the uber eats orders thanks!
