My husband and I went here to check out the oysters. I prefer smaller oysters and theirs were huge so I didn't taste them but my husband enjoyed them. The service was great.

Got the seafood platter. To call it a platter was a stretch. 3 shrimp 3 scallops and one fish filled. It was really small for the price. Though the flavor was all there. Ordered garlic mashed potatoes and they were half potatoes. And the bowl was legit half full of garlic and butter. Wouldn't do that part again. Mashed implied it wouldn't be large pieces.

I order the crab dip and the 2 crabcakes and the dip was supposed to be $10 and the crab cakes was $8, but when I order my total was $37 and some change. Very miss leading. Then when I called and asked about it they just said that this was their old menu.

Love this place, get the whiskey shrimp everytime!
Was sat down immediately......ordered......waited for an HOUR to receive mediocre, flavorless tasting food.There was no communication from the waitress letting us know why we were waiting so long, no check in, no contact.We were given cool tarter sauce and cocktail sauce cups long before our food arrived.....they were closer to room temp once food came out.Finally received food, most of which looked unappealing.One of the WORST visits.Food ranged from flavorless and dry.

I really was disappointed ? I believe this is not a chain restaurant, so I expected a higher quality of food based on the reviews. It was lunchtime on Valentines Day and I ordered the oysters and fish combo. Two small pieces of fish and six oysters came out. The oysters were so tiny; the size of a quarter. The small pieces of fish and oysters were over fried. There are signs at the table informing you that if you don't pay with cash, your credit card is accessed a 3% charge. Also, several other stipulations that appeared rude to me. I don't know who patronized this restaurant (locals), but it is a turn-off just reading their policies. If you order something and it's not what you thought it was, you better eat and pay for it. I was really disappointed. I will go back to Hook and Real for my oysters. The food is better quality and so is the service. The waitress was not engaging and acted as though she could care less about the service or food you order.
