We too had read the rave reviews about The Dogwood Cafe, we decided to go there and have lunch for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We arrived a little early, but the staff welcomed us right on in and truly made us feel at home. When they found out it was our anniversary, they thanked us for choosing them to be a part of our special day. The atmosphere is delightful, the staff was charming to say the least. We tried the Dogwood Cafe based on the rave reviews we saw and it did not disappoint. We had the stew beef and fried chicken with white acre peas, collards, rice and Mac and cheese. For desert we had the blueberry cheesecake and home made brownie. The staff was very friendly and carried a sense of pride in their work. It is well worth the drive and we look forward to our next visit!

This restaurant's name has changed (to "Dogwood Cafe") but the food has not. DEE-li-cious! Great selection, friendly staff and wonderful surroundings also make this a "must visit" when you're in or near Louisville!
