4 stars only. The food was really good but otherwise on the pricy side. There was 4 of us eating and we got the cheapest things we could. One hamburger steak plate, one fish plate, one chicken finger plate and one chicken sandwich with fries and 4 drinks was $71. The fish and hamburger steak should have been about 26. That was some expensive chicken sandwich and fingers and fries. The chicken sandwich was a finger sandwich. We had salad that had on menu was $3.50 and salad/entree was $6. So was the salad 3.5 or 6? Costly lesson.

The fried shrimp and oysters very good. The baked potato was more boiled than baked, next time won't get that. If possible order ahead, if go in and order be prepared to wait a while.
The Whale’s Tail is a family owned local restaurant serving fresh, well prepared seafood! The portions are large, the quality & freshness are excellent, & the service is good, & the prices are reasonable! All in all, The Whale’s Tail was a very enjoyable experience! I heartily recommend it!

Went there last Friday and arrived about 6pm. There were about 7 tables in the place, we looked at the menu online and of course when we got there the new prices were much higher. After ordering we waited an hour and forty five minutes to get our food and the fries were cold. The food was just ok. Not worth the trip or the wait . Other tables were complaining also.

They take care of the customers that call ahead but even when you call ahead you sometimes have to wait an hour. I can’t imagine that they will stay in business much longer.
