Food was good. I got a slab of ribs, 1/2 lbs of brisket, pulled pork, and both sausages. Only issue i had was i only got 10 bones and thats not a full slab. The slab was 40 dollars so I would have like to get the full 12.

I am changing my review from 2 stats to 5. And here’s why… I was frustrated. I tried to eat here 4 times and succeeded 0. They’re stupid busy. They run out of food. I was annoyed.

But I spoke to the owner by accident. Happened to bump into him outside the store while I was next door at Reformation for beer.

He is genuine. He is working hard. And he’s trying. He knows it’s frustrating and he’s tried to make every attempt to help solve the problem. But at the end of the day, he’s doing the best he can.

The food is stupid good. Straight up. It’s worth the wait if you can spare the time. And I appreciate his work effort and empathy. And of course, his masterful approach to bbq.

Try this place. Even if it takes a few tries.

Wow! Simply wow! The atmosphere and ambience was absolutely amazing here. Great feelings, good vibes and amazing Customer Service. The food was so flavorful and tasty that as soon as my plate was set before me.... I started to eat immediately, not even realizing that I was going to need to do a review and I wouldn't have a picture for it. This review still must go on. I would highly recommend this place for a social gathering or simple afternoon and/or night eating. The group that I was with today ordered a variety of things from the menu and no one had any complaints. Everyone thought that the food was extremely tasty. Go and support this business as soon as you can.

Father’s Day Experience

Arrived around 3:30pm on a Sunday, maybe 4 customers ahead of us with it being my Mother’s first time and my third time, happy to have the menu posted on the wall but disappointed that an announcement wasn’t made that only 2 options were available, now customers have to decide at the register what they want after having their decision already made and being their first time. We were only left with 2 options ( turkey or pork sandwich ) and 4 sides ( collards, chips, chilli & cole slaw ) with not one suggestion. When you work at a smaller establishment, employees should help with suggestions if asked. This partial employee didn’t help with suggestions knowing the full menu wasn’t available. His response “ we have been busy all afternoon “ …. What does that have to do with helping someone make a decision? If you want someone’s business, you help someone make a decision instead of saying “ I don’t know “ .. I’ve worked in customer service for 15yrs and management for 13 of those years. Train your employees on how to make suggestions. My first time eating at this establishment the employee helped us make suggestions knowing, it was my first time and even gave us a sample of the banana pudding, just being kind to us. With that being said as we were walking off my mother wanted to make a separate purchase to take home but once again that option wasn’t available because no one made that announcement, the person behind us made a nasty comment about how we need to hurry up and MOVE IT .. It was uncalled for but that could’ve been prevented if someone would’ve stated to everyone in line that only 2 options are available. I will not be back after that experience. Great food but that experience turned me off from coming back.

I had pork sandwich, Brunswick stew and collards. Everything was flavorful and delicious! I’ve heard so many great things and I’m happy I finally stopped and tried it for myself. I will definitely be returning!

Grand Champion BBQ is my new "OFFICIAL" favorite BBQ spot.
My great friend Marcus D. Jackson Sr. Invited me to join them, its so good they were there for the 2nd day in a row.
The brisket was expertly seasoned & very tender, with a perfect layer of fat that made my mouth water. 5/5
The Mac & Cheese was excellent, I havnt tasted better. The macaroni shells used hold a lot of cheese & sauce. So delicious! 5/5
The Turkey slices had the perfect amount of pepper seasoning, and it was unbelievably tender, with some sourdough bread this Turkey will make a great sandwich as well. 5/5
The sausage is made in-house, I enjoyed the smokey flavor, but it wasn't too spicey, a perfect blend of ingredients, what I imagined a "KONTRY" sausage should taste like. 5/5
The greens were "good"
a little too much sweet with a hint of vinegar. Personally i love stems left in the greens,(more nutrients) but wifey isnt a fan of stems in greens. 4/5
Brotwurst Stew
Wonderful, but needs to be served in a "BIGGER" bowl, bc its so flavorful, but maybe not as many hot green peppers. 5/5

I was fine with the rocket high prices they charge, but I was disappointed in the food. The food was bland with no taste too it. For the price I was expecting much better but we have been duped. The inside of the restaurant looks nice though. They may need to hire a better chef to help fix things. I see they have 2 review accounts on google. I show the one with all positive reviews & thought it would be great. Then I see the reviews on there 2nd review account. Most of the people are addressing my same concerns. Wish I would have seen that page first. Very sus!

The food is MID! It’s not bad BUT it’s not good. It’s quite of bland. For the food to be pricey. I wished the taste would match the price. Jim-N-Nicks has more favor.
