I grew up in Tuscaloosa, Al. I don't remember a time there wasn't a Guthrie's on 15st. We went there after every ball game and late Sunday mornings after party's. Big chicken, the sauce and sweet tea! The best. This Guthrie's misses the spot a bit. The chicken is the size of jumbo shrimp you get from Walmart. During my recent visit the manager came out and start giving the business to the employees. After a few minutes I started thinking where is my chicken? After the boss got finished one of the workers he was belittling finally brought me my luke warm food. Not the best but Nostalgia draws me in.

This was my first ever visit. The staff was really nice and friendly, and helped me with the menu items. He answered all of my questions as well as those from another customer who inquired about menu changes.

I had visited this location a few times. On this particular visit, I ordered the big box combo, which cost over $15.00. When I got back to my office and opened the box, there were three chicken strips and a small amount of fry's. Needless to say, this was very disappointing seeing that I'm 10 miles away from the restaurant. I like your food but this is a mistake that you all can't continue to make. This will definitely cause you all to lose my business.

I will start with the positive...the food was very good. It was fresh, hot, and tasty. It certainly seemed like the chicken tenders were made to order along with the hot French fries. However, things took a turn for the worst when it came to the service. It was our first time visiting this chain and we looked at the rating and decided to give them a try.The young lady gave us a lackluster greeting and I tried to engage her on what their chicken was like, but she didn't offer much, then she just walked away and didn't say excuse me I'll be right back or anything. She just had a very nonchalant attitude. It was very off-putting. So we went ahead and ordered for our kids as my wife, and I didn't like the demeanor of the employee. When our food came up she called our name and just dropped the food on the counter, no smile, no thank you nothing....it was very much like here's you food people....it was NOT a special, thanks for coming and please come back again. I would rather have just ok food than to get bad service. Bad service can be the downfall of your business!

I’ve only had the tenders and all I gotta say is, that was some good chicken tenders mane. Hot, juicy, crispy, and tender. Well seasoned. If I was on death row I’d want this to be my last meal, the fries were really good too, seasoned crinkled fries at guthries got a good bite to them. Chicken make me wanna eat at guthries every day till I die from a heart attack. This beats Zaxbys, zaxbys gon need to change their formula or something if they wanna keep up.

I did a quick roll thru drive thru. Uneventful, and I received my food in less than 2 minutesThe food was fresh and flavorful. I'm not a chicken finger fan, so this will not be my spot. But if it is your thing, try them out. I like it's not heavily breaded but more like slightly floured and fried to a nice golden crunch! That's the appeal for me. I will go again and I would recommend.

*IF YOU PAY WITH DEBIT/CREDIT CARD CHECK YOUR BANK STATEMENTS/POTENTIAL SCAMMING*I ordered through the drive thru on yesterday and payed with my debit card(this is the only place as of lately that I've actually physically handed someone my debit card) around 1:30pm, that night someone attempted to make a purchase of $296 at Target. I called my bank and got my card changed immediately. I hate to speculate that it was the girl at the window but again, this the only place recently I have handed someone my debit card.So I'd suggest if you go through the drive thru hear or anywhere to either pay by credit )because that is the banks money and they will fight for it) or cash
My Son took me there for the first time and he said mom you’re not gonna regret the chicken strips and I can say truly that I ate up two of my chicken strips before we could get back to the house The food is awesome Great Price I love it. I’ll be back again.
I went through the drive thru on 2/27/24 and ordered a snack meal. I received burnt old chicken and fries that were swimming in grease. I will not return but will make a complaint to the health inspector. The food tast like it was cooked in grease that hasn't been changed or filtered. It made me sick!
