I walked in and asked the lady at the bar with the blonde hair was there sit down service because the restaurant was almost empty and no one was dining in. She replied with a nasty tone there’s sit down service every day. As i turned my back to tell my husband to come in, i hear her laughing with another gentleman about the question i asked….

I didn’t have time to walk out of the restaurant because my husband was coming in at the same time so i said okay let’s give it a chance….this women did not even acknowledge my family. We didn’t even get water. We sat there in this freezing cold restaurant waiting for basic customer service for about 15 minutes before we walked out. If the owner of this restaurant cares about their business they will get rid of the bartender this isn’t the first review mentioning her nasty attitude.

I am so sick and tired of this type of service. Rude and nasty from the beginning! Never will i give my business to an establishment that believes they’re doing ME a favor by serving me food im paying for. The entire energy in the restaurant was just so wicked and I’m so glad we left! We walked right next door to the restaurant adjacent and was greeted with a smile!!!! Warm welcome and great energy from the whole staff and the meal was delicious.

Your employees can always make your business sucks. Been coming to this location since they open and The more clientele the worst service gets with talking to your customers with that take it or leave it attitude. When spending your money with people that don’t respect your business leaves a bad tasting your mouth and mess up your Appetite for the meal, Definitely need better service.

SERVICE: Ordered (3) TO-GO meals and a beef patty totaling $60. Discovered that an additional 17% gratuity of $10 was FORCEFULLY added to my bill despite bypassing the option to tip. Paid $72 total. Went back to the restaurant thinking perhaps i ordered something that was left out. When asked for a detailed receipt there was hesitation followed by eye rolling.

Sidenote: the cashier classified my order as a "dine-in" order rather than a "to-go" order ..SMH!

I was told "gratuity is a must and tip is optional" and there's no option to remove the fee. In other words any percentage can be charged for gratuity without consumer consent (...I'll definitely look into that). I was told to come back when the owner was around (...real convenient).

FOOD: Good flavor, decent portions. Jerk and Curry is spicy.

ATMOSPHERE: Great place for hookah and a drink

OVERALL: With this mode of business, they will lose customers. We'll see if the owner tries to rectify the situation. Stay tuned!

So mad I wasted my $35 on the oxtail plate. The oxtails were so tough to bite and chew. Oxtails weren’t tender at all. The sides were okay. Food could’ve used more flavor. Won’t be going back.

Update from owner response: How can I bring it to the “servers attention” when I ordered this plate to go? I was 10pm at night I was not about to drive all the way back there which was a big inconvenience. I understand this is a black business but you should’ve handled the situation properly by asking to replace the food or initiate a refund. You’re basically scolding me for MY experience instead of correcting the situation. Yes I’m for sure not going back now.

Food good but they never open on time. Very unprofessional

I was there a few weeks ago. The food was excellent. However they have so many hidden fees even if it’s take out they charge a large tip. The lady at the front tore up the itemized receipt so I would not see the service charge and gratuity already added in and gave me the the final copy.

Then she went on to say you might as well eat here since we’re not busy. I later learned she had already charged my card 18 pct.

Because the food is so good, it disappointed me that they were over charging. I was warned about them before and didn’t listen

Food is great but charging $1 for a small sauce is absurd. Don’t abuse the customers stand on that good food and you’ll get the money.

Probably will not eat there again. First of all, this is the first Jamaican spot I’ve ever been to that doesn’t let you get combo plates or platters. I ended up spending way more than expected because I had to order jerk chicken and oxtails separately. And then the food was not very good!

Food is good. Prices sketchy. I came in to get some Rasta pasta for $24 like the menu said. Not sure why I got charged $36 but they need to get the prices together asap. I wouldve gotten oxtail if I wanted to pay that much. No explaination on the receipt

I order the Jerk Chicken, rice and peas and cabbage!!

The best item on the plate was the cabbage. The rice and peas were quite bland and only gained flavor when drizzled with jerk sauce. The jerk chicken didn’t leave me feeling excited or eager to return. I’m not sure if the chicken was baked in the oven or grilled outside, but I really prefer jerk chicken cooked on the grill. Overall, I don’t think I would rush back to this place.

I placed my order online at 4:56 and my order was supposed to be ready at 5:30. I waited up there to 550 damn near close in time for them to tell me they’re out of curry chicken when I watch people place their order after me and got curry chicken so I’m trying to figure out why I didn’t get my order before anybody else I would never go back there first time there last time

The food was delicious. I had the oxtails with rice and beans which came with cabbage and veggies and sweet plantains. It was all on point. The music was way too loud and raunchy to dine in.

Please be aware of your bill. I order a take out of curry shrimp. The menu said it was $18 dollars, but my bill was $24.27. I ask the employee, she said the curry shrimp is $19 if so the taxes shouldn’t been $5. The receipt don’t show no taxes at all, so where is these extra charges coming from?
