We had dinner at the Lucky Hare for our anniversary. The food was delicious. If you like mushrooms, definitely add the side dish. The ambiance was cozy and romantic. I highly recommend!

We throughly enjoyed our dinner here. We did make reservations earlier in the day. We started with the roasted squash appetizer, which was absolutely delicious. For entree we had the hanger steak and beef tagliatelle. Both were outstanding. For dessert, we had the almond torte and crème brûlée. The almond torte was very well balanced and we enjoyed the raspberry sorbet. The crème brûlée was the only thing we had that didn’t blow us away. You can tell the food is locally sourced and organic.

Our reserved table was in front of the main door and reception desk. It was a very cool day and they had the doors open with cold air enveloping our table. Asked our server if they could close the door. She seemed intimidated to approach management. One of our quest closed the doors himself. they said we couldn't do that so it was either leave it closed, move us or we would leave. The doors remained closed. Myself and one other quest ordered the vegetarian omelette at $16 with 2 additional fillings $2 each for a total $20 for an omelette. A two egg omelette at that for $20, never again. Upon serving, the omelettes did not have the additional fillings. We pointed it out to the server, but she seemed not to care. Not sure whether we were charged for those additional fillings as we were quests and the person paying just wanted to go. This was our second time dining at this establishment and also our last. We visited a breakfast cafe the prior week and had a great omelette. Three eggs, lots of veggies and for only $10 dollars. Value over Big Canoe BS.

My husband and sisters meal were fine, mine pasta was not hot and the noodles were tough wads of dough and the waitress forgot my added chicken which was obviously rushed and dropped in a fryer. My meal was removed from the check but I would not recommend nor will I be back.

Our service was excellent, and the food was ok to very good (difference of opinion among the diners). However, the experience was negatively impacted due to the fact that we were seated next to a very large and extremely rowdy party. The acoustics are not good anyway. Unfortunately, We did not speak up, but should we have to for someone to ask whether we are bothered by the noise? Next time we will be more assertive about this should we have the same situation.

Lucky Hare is a hidden gem in North Georgia. Our first time guest said this is like something in downtown Atlanta without all the traffic. It's nice for us locals to have upper level food available here. Our server Tucker did a great job jostling insurance that we were well attended to, and allowing privacy. We highly recommend Lucky Hare.
