With the name of Katz I expected way better than we received. I ordered the pastrami on rye, very disappointed. Prices are pretty high for the quality you receive. Would not recommend.
Deli close to where the blue ridge train let off, we stopped by for a quick bite of lunch before we walked around. This deli has plenty of seating inside and outside. The outside seating is great for kids to run around while you wait for your food. The Ruben was great. The deli staff can handle the high crowds and are attentive while you eat and help clear tables. Would recommend stopping here if you want simple food.
Prices are way too high. Prices are so high. I cannot afford to eat breakfast here. Breakfast sandwiches are over eight dollars. The corn beef hash breakfast entrée was almost $15 and the hash was well over cooked this. Please change the owners a while back it used to be awesome and a lot less expensive I can’t take my family to eat breakfast here because the bill is almost $80 who can afford that?
Coffee was great and the bagels were delicious. Perfect place to stop for breakfast! The ladies working there were amazing, they even guided us to things to do around the area. Super awesome! Thanks for a great time. We will be back.
After we took the train from Blue Ridge, we stopped for a quick lunch. Service was fast with a smile. Food was good. I recommend the Corned Beef.
I have been to Katz multiple times, the first time a year ago in a group of 6 and other times solo. Every time the food has been perfect, but the icing on the already perfect cake is charm. It starts with the greeting upon entry, kind and welcoming, then helpful and patient as I decide what to order, and continues through the home converted to New York Deli. I have eaten in three different dining rooms all boasting the warm feel and time period integrity of the old home. Without a doubt get the Reuben or Rachel for lunch. Have the Asiago cheese bagel with cream cheese (I’ve had with and without lox, both delicious) or as a sandwich for breakfast. Bottom line, whether you’re staying in or just passing through Copperhill/McCaysville, do not bypass Katz New York Deli. You won’t be disappointed.
The Reuben sandwich was the worst I have ever eaten. Very tough corned beef with little kraut and TI dressing. And the cole slaw was embarrassing. My wife said her chicken salad was very good however.
The Reuben sandwich was delicious! I thought the restaurant was affiliated with the one in New York but the owner said it was not. The owner was very friendly and even told me how to cook the brisket because I have made it and I never cared for it.
Let’s start with the name, totally misleading. If I were part of Kat’z in NYC, I’d look into it. If you love walking into a place in which you’re the only one and as soon as you step foot inside you’re asked what would you like, you’ll love it here! Lol When we said this was our first time, the lady behind the counter went ahead and read the entire menu which was in front of us to read, awkward but let’s continue. Bagels literally feel like they were purchased across the street at the IGA mini mart and oh well, not worth spending almost $30 for two egg sandwiches and a cup of coffee. If I were you I’d think twice before coming here. Does not live up to the Kat’z name. Huge disappointment.
I am not going to come on here and bash this place like I have seen many do. But I will tell you I am very surprised this is legal for the name and logo you have on this building. The bagels are not made in house. They taste grocery store bought and the perogis are frozen. I will say this..... I did send a picture of your logo to the real katz because I believe this shouldn't be legal because you are misleading many. Just bad all around experiance

My husband was so excited to eat here, thinking it would be the same experience as back home (NYC). Sadly, it was not. Poor service, our breakfast was not good at all. Not cooked well, cold, (when we expressed the food was cold we were offered a microwave warm up), they are over priced, for hat they are serving. The condiment station was not clean, the salt and pepper shakers haven’t been clean for sometime. My cousin and I were interested in buying two cups, they were NOT Katz’s cups. One cup had a chip on the top rim, still wanting the cup (to hold painting brushes), I asked if a discount would be possible. I was told.. “no I rather use it in the back, I could understand if you don’t want it.” Needless to say.. the food, service, and all around experience was very poor. My husband expressed his apologies to our cousins as this was our first stop heading back home. If you’re going to claim Katz’s Deli, do it right. What a poor representation of what we have enjoyed in NYC. Skip this restaurant. Save yourself the time and money.
Got us some macaroons to go while in town, headed back to Georgia on the Blue Ridge Scenic Train. They were sooooooo good. Pleasant staff.
While enjoying a gorgeous layover from the Blue Ridge Railway tour, this lil gem was close to the station and provided one of my first stops upon enjoying the shops in town. The coffee shop deli is quaint, well appointed and clean. Exceptional customer service as I delighted in a freshly made Carmel Macchiato- also purchased an inexpensive shawl to break the crisp morning air- highly recommend. The shop boasts several rooms to partake in you treats or a perch on the porch to people watch is fun. I enjoyed this lil Deli so much, I returned after my shopping stroll for a Strawberry Smoothie , to which, they did not disappoint. Peer in, enjoy the warm welcome and delicious fare this establishment has to offer
We stopped in after a 7 mile hike based on TA reviews and were not disappointed. The old house it’s in is quite cozy, and the staff was very friendly. The BBQ brisket Reuben was tender and to die for! We will be back on our next trip to N. GA!
Worst Rubin sandwich ever! Unfriendly staff and way too expensive. They advertise breakfast all day but they didn't!
