I stopped in here looking for good bbq and this place gave me what I was looking for. The Brunswick Stew was so delightful, it was hearty with a savory and sweet taste, the brisket in it was tender and full of flavor. My wife had the pulled chicken plate, the meat was juicy the toast was buttery and perfect, the mac and cheese was decent i prefer my Mac and cheese baked this wasn't. The cook was very welcoming and kind in fact the whole staff was great, they hooked us up...
Came in for the first time for lunch. We met the owner, Michael. He had us try the brisket and it was by far the best brisket we've ever ordered out. Very tender and perfectly spiced. We had ordered pulled pork and tater tots and they were wonderful. Super friendly staff. Will most definitely be back again.
Location is perfect for lunch after the Blue Ridge Train ride there. Small inside, but big enough. Smelled amazing inside. Service was very good. Being from South Louisiana, we kinda have high flavor expectations. That being said, the pulled pork and the brisket were pretty good by themselves. However, we were not impressed with the bbq sauce choices. The Mac and cheese was creamy but needed some salt and pepper. The bbq beans were probably out of a can, but good. The fried okra...
