It was overcrowded as usual but more so this time. One of the hostesses kept coming back and to standing and watching to see if my party was through and even made the remark one time " oh you are still eating your salad ". I paid my money to enjoy my food not eat so fast I would get sick. And also no catfish or hamburger steaks. Lot of other things were out. This was before 6PM.

Came hungry, left hungry. We waited a whole hour to be seated, and there was only a couple people ahead of us. It was a beautiful drive there and the building was cute, but my overall experience cancelled out the beauty. After our waitress took our order, she filled our drinks once and left and after sitting at our table without food for an hour and a half, we ended up leaving paying $7 for three drinks that only were filled once. After paying for our drinks, we were about to walk out the door and a young man stopped us and brought our cold food to the door.

Service was excellent as well as the service. The salad bar is to die for I could just eat the salad bar and be satisfied. I don’t know why people have to be negative about the Trump and confederate signage. It’s called atmosphere, if you have a problem with it then leave and don’t eat there!! After all thanks to Biden, they did have to raise prices substantially. I don’t care, every year we come here to eat when doing Peaches to Beaches.

The salad bar was great. I was really disappointed with my steak as was my friend. There was no seasoning to the steak. I had to use ketchup just to be able to eat it. I drove a long way and was disappointed. Heck I could have stayed closer to home and ate a better steak at Longhorn.

I would have liked to give them 5 stars but the fried catfish left a lot to be desired and I was very disappointed. Everything else was good and I was quite pleased with their salad and desert bar. I really enjoyed the old fashioned friendly family atmosphere. Even the live music was nice, not at all annoying or too loud like I have experienced at other places. Overall a good dinner spot, but if you aren’t having steak, I’d recommend the seafood platter over the catfish.
