Whenever they have baked chicken, you can’t pick what pieces you want because “it’s based off of 8 oz portions!” 🙄 If I’m paying for this plate then I should be able to tell you what pieces I want on it, just like I’m able to decide what sides & bread!

New to the Metter area, we found JoMax to have great food, good portion and a pretty good variety to choose from. And the service is the best..... very attentive staff. Burgers cooked to perfection. We will be back**********????????? We did return today, had the exact same order , charged us extra for fries that were included in the meal and burger was way over cooked. Not so happy this time. ☹️

Food is good but dessert is overpriced. Strawberry shortcake was $3.49. It is probably about 3 good spoonfuls...🤔🙁 No more dessert for me. I wanted to post a picture but I don't see the camera icon.

I was driving thru Metter yesterday on 16 and starving! I asked Siri to show me restaurants nearby and decided to happen upon this place. I went in to place a to go 20 minutes before close and they were packed. I ordered the Jumbo Bbq sandwich, sweet potato fries and fried squash. I had already blown my caloric intake with this order and I spotted the caramel layer cake! OMG I cannot rave about this food enough! It’s probably the best bbq I’ve had in years. The ladies at the counter were so sweet and helpful. As I mentioned they were packed and my food still took less than ten minutes. Not gonna lie I’m literally savoring this cake and breaking off a little piece a day. 🤣 See you guys when I come back thru in a couple weeks! Definitely going to be my new pit stop between Savannah and Macon. ❤️

Each time I visit Jomax, the food is very good, always consistent.The ribs are my favorite. Service is quick and friendly. I have tried several of the sides and nevr been disappointed. Although sweet potato casserole is not my favorite, but that is not there fault.

We stopped here on our way back from HHI to wait out charging our EV. This place was delicious and I’m not a big BBQ fan. The service there is amazing and everyone is so friendly and kind. This is definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area. We were there for lunch and the place was packed!

Food was as ordered, no mistakes. Appeared fresh and ready for anyone’s table. Food was temperature appropriate. Cole slaw was tasty and chilled. Sweet potato fries hot along with chopped bar b Que. Wife’s patty melt was described as delicious. Time between order and arrival as about 5 minutes.
Awesome BBQ. The fried green tomatoes were fresh from the fryer and piping hot. The sides were great. They were busy, but the service was fast and friendly. Definitely a great place to eat.
Really good BBQ and home cooking. Fried squash and burger were great. Next to EV charging for a convenient lunch spot.

We was on our way to Hilton Head and I was starving we pulled off from his road and we saw this barbecue stand It was so many people here I said we have to go inside we did I'm glad cuz the food was amazing all the ladies were so nice The plate were so feeling so big choose two meets two sides and a drink reasonable price The vegetables just melting your mouth I love rutabagas, fried green tomatoes, black eyed peas, sweet potato fries, sweet potatoes soufflé with the biggest chunks of pecans in it cornbread sweet tea brisket, and the ribs were coming back we live in Atlanta but I tell you what I'll make that drive to get some good food
