Just moved to Midway and decided to give this place a try. The owner recommended a traditional Thai dish, which was fantastic. Not too spicy, seasoned well, and fresh. Family owned and very reasonably priced (an order of hand rolled dumplings for $7… !). Highly recommend!

We LOVE the authentic food, it's fresh and even makes our kids happy with the variety of options. We've been here numerous times in person and carry out (over 10), and have always been satisfied. The food is healthy, fairly priced, and FRESH! The owners have ALWAYS been kind to us, and chit chat anytime we visit. this is our go to for food in Midway, whether it's takeout or dine in.

Just had an excellent experience with one of the owners of HEW. Following a threat to have a vehicle towed, the female owner came out while discussing the lack of courtesy regarding how a vehicle was parked with the vehicle owner, about how one of their misguided patrons was threatening to call a tow truck instead of a 10' walk to an adjacent business to ask for a vehicle to be moved, the owner came out of the business and decided it was appropriate to throw around the f bomb, including flipping off both myself and the owner of the vehicle in question, after the vehicle had already been moved without incident. I will also note that HEW regularly uses spices from the plants in front of their business where cigarette ashes are deposited and people spit, on their food. Before I decided to no longer give HEW my business, I also found what I have to assume is buckshot in a dish containing chicken.
The food is overpriced and the owners are nasty people who hold a grudge against the adjacent business for being more successful. I wouldn't recommend even my worst enemy to eat here.
Note: the reason I decided to stop taking my business here is because of an incident where an elderly couple who needed a cane and walker to get around parked in a parking spot reserved for customers of the business, the same female owner came outside and asked if I knew the elderly couple after holding the door for them, then asked me to go inside the adjacent business to ask the handicap elderly couple to move their vehicle when they were no spots available in the parking lot. The lack of humanity alone is reason enough to take your business anywhere else.

Two dishes I simply can't recommend enough are their utterly delicious beef bulgogi – it's a must-try – and their incredible pan-seared lemongrass chicken pot stickers. Seriously, those pot stickers are addictive!
