I visited Buffingtons again about 5 days ago, eager to try out the new menu. I found the ambiance almost unchanged , but the menu trimmed drastically. It was time for Buffington’s to have a menu review. Their offerings were varied and enticing, but there is no way that menu was cost-efficient. They offered too many choices for that. They offered too many choices that were not featured on every other menu you see. Too many choices that made the restaurant stand out as an obvious choice, above the many boring restaurants that it might otherwise have been. Now, under new/old management they have the most boring menu in Milledgeville. It appears they have embraced the T-Rump management style of improvement through destruction. I suppose the idea is to drive away all customers and go into bankruptcy in order to make some money. There is now no reason to visit Buffingtons. The menu resembles that of any high school football snack bar. Their beer selection is now as generic as it comes, unlike when they offered choices that were different enough to make me want to visit there, instead of any other burger joint, or the restaurant across the street or down the block. Congrtaulations: You have created a white bread restaurant out of one that offered so much promise.

Under new ownership and it makes all the difference! Best burgers in town and the chili is outstanding. Service was great and the food came out quickly.

They don't have regular burgers just smashed which is not what we went there for. A smashed burger is nothing more than a small piece of meat made to look like a regular burger. We will go back when they return to regular burgers.

I recently visited Buffington's at 120 W Hancock St, in Milledgeville, GA for the 2025 Burger Week. The burger for this year was a very good one. Maybe the best I have had there for burger week. I sat at the bar and was quickly greeted and my drink order taken. My burger came out later and it was very good. I have been there many times and always enjoy my times there.

Did not get a chance to take pictures, but their blackened salmon and the Bob Marley creole style rice were delicious. My partner had a perfectly cooked steak. Most of all the waitress (Molly) and bartenders were so accommodating when we asked for things that were out.
1st time visitor today. Food was excellent (wings, fried green tomatoes, cheese curds, fried pickles). Probably hands down one of the best strawberry margaritas I've ever had - and I'm a super tough critic! Definitely will be back.

Our waiter was good, the experience was not his fault. I ordered 12 bone in wings-they were undercooked. The blue cheese dressing looked watered down,was very runny. The draft beer wasn't hot but it sure wasn't cold either. The French fries that came with my and my daughter's orders looked like they were the leftovers from the bottom of the bag. Won't be back anytime soon.

I selected that I would recommend The Buff BUT I came here to say I had the worst meal there yesterday. I love their burgers and sweet potato fries among other menu items. I go there fairly often. Had a delicious burger two weeks ago. Yesterday the burger was dry and I think it had been cooked a while before I ordred it. Did not complain since main concern was the sweet potato fries. Ate burger since I was hungry. The fries , each one, were burned. Therefore they were tough and inedible. Literal black on ends and the sides of each one. She brought a "fresh batch" when I complained. They were still hard but main issue was they were LOADED with salt. I can eat salty food but these were also inedible. I asked her to take upgrade charge of $2 off fries and after consulting someone she did remove the charge. My lunch companion's food (which included regular fries) were fine along with the fried pickles appetizer. I was very disappointed and no effort from anyone there to apologize or offer any explantion.
