The Power Bowls are absolutely delicious! We had the Mediterranean with Grouper and the Mexican with grilled chicken.

With three kids at GCSU, we eat here often when in Milledgeville visiting. Good food in a casual environment with friendly staff.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment following a recent dining experience at Pickle Barrel in Milledgeville, GA.

I visited the restaurant for lunch with my sister. After finishing my food, I was sitting and chatting with her as she continued eating. During our conversation, I happened to glance down and noticed a small hair in the ranch dressing I had been using throughout my meal. I immediately notified a waitress, who acknowledged the issue but initially only deducted $2 from my bill.

When I brought my concerns to the manager, the situation escalated in a way that was both unprofessional and upsetting. Rather than sincerely addressing the issue, the manager insisted that the hair could not have come from any staff member because he personally packaged the ranch. He then implied that I may have placed the hair there myself. I was deeply offended by this accusation and the dismissive attitude he showed throughout our interaction.

At no point was I seeking a free meal—I simply expected the matter to be handled with care and professionalism. The manager’s comment, suggesting that “if I wanted the whole meal comped, I could’ve just said that,” was inappropriate and disrespectful. Thankfully, I was eventually issued a refund, but the damage to the experience and my impression of the establishment had already been done.

While the food was good up until that point, the way the situation was handled was unacceptable. The lack of accountability, the implication that I was dishonest, and the overall disrespect made for a truly unpleasant experience. Unfortunately, this will be the last time I dine at Pickle Barrel, and I would not recommend the restaurant to others based on this visit.

This place was amazing, it will be the only restaurant on the menu for us when we visit my daughter.

Our server Mackenzie did an excellent job. She was very attentive, making sure that we had everything we needed to have a great experience. THE FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING! Try the wings, fish, salads, burgers, chicken strips and fried pickles. Just try it all, you will not be disappointed.

Stopped in for a couple of beers. The bartender was nice and did her job well.

Food was delicious cocktails were terrible and the server was absolutely terrible!! Took over 15 mins just to get the check after asking for it! The one refill my son got had to be requested after eating over half the meal with no drink. Our family of 4 waited over 10 mins just for her to come get a drink order then it took over 20 mins to get drinks. She brings us 2 $11 cocktails when only 1 was ordered and they were awful!!! The restaurant itself was nice and the food was great but terrible customer service and the bartender made this a 2 star experience

Our server was really sweet, If you're looking for a quick bite but great food, then you've come to the right place. I had a burger with their beer batter fries, and they were amazing, My husband had their nachos. It was a very hefty serving as well. Everything was really great, the friendly service the food and the atmosphere. Truly great experience at this restaurant, which we don't tend to have around here in Georgia being Hispanic, but we would definitely come eat here again.
