The Reel Grill of Milledgeville

Yuck! Ordered creole nachoes....nachoes with cold cheese. .said sauce is on the side...it was a bowl of soup....no crackers or cocktail sauce or horseradish...had to go back for that.. wasted $40.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went for our anniversary and it was so fun! It is in a historic bank. They let us to our table and it was in a man actual bank vault turned wine cellar with a private table for 2! We had the creole nachos which were divine…seriously the best nachos I’ve ever gotten at a restaurant! Then we each had steak; I had a filet with a Gorgonzola sauce and he had a ribeye. Everything from the food to the service was absolutely wonderful! We went back last night and had the nachos again because I don’t think we can go and not order these. Had the scallops and they were perfection.

we recently ate here and the food was delicious, our server did an excellent job, even though she was swamped. she was tending bar and waiting on multiple tables. Now for the down side. We had a reservation for six, when we checked in the host immediately preceded to seat us even though we were a little early. As we were going to our table he said just so you know we have another reservation at seven, so just keep that in mind. My wife and I were a bit put off by this, it kind of put a damper on the mood. As I said earlier the food was amazing and the service from our server was excellent. We will definitely return despite the rude host.

What a great meal, wine selection and atmosphere. I had the pecan crusted chicken breast, mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was cooked perfectly....the chicken was moist, the flavor of the potatoes was spot on and the asparagus was crunchy and tasty! I highly recommend The Reel Grill of Milledgeville'! Oh and the service we got from Jada was top notch!

This was our 3rd visit and an Anniversary/Birthday event. Service during the entire visit was exemplary from entering, to the bar, to the table. The food was cooked as ordered and tasty.
Apparently they were testing out live music. The musician was so loud we could not talk to each other at the table while he was singing. In fact when the manager checked in on us about the food I could not make out some of what he said (right next to me and leaning in!!!) We complained to waitress who mentioned it to the musician. His answer to the restaurant was he would still be loud regardless. In other words no change in volume. I asked for the manager and explained to him that we did not come here for this musician and while I like live music "I did not come to the restaurant for this and in an "upscale restaurant"" it should be more in the background. The restaurant is not a club/lounge where that is a focus of why people go. The result was the musician turned down just a bit and told the restaurant if anyone still thinks its too loud to let him know. It was not much better and it is not the patrons job to walk over and tell him to drop the volume. As my wife said he would have sounded good "unplugged".
So the atmosphere from the past which brought us back (and was more fitting for this restaurant) was completely lost. This unfortunately ruined our entire evening for no fault of the staff. We did not get the evening event experience we paid for!
If you want a pleasant evening with good food and friends that you can converse with make sure they don't have a live musician.

We rented out their upstairs room for my mom's retirement party and had such an amazing experience. Our food was delicious, Emma took great care of our party of 20, and everyone had only positive things to say. Thanks so much, y'all!

Everything about this place was great. Amy, our server, was very professional and friendly. The atmosphere is nice. Not crowded at all. And the food was absolutely delicious.

The staff was awesome but I was so disappointed that they were out of vodka, oysters, filet, all sides except potato, signature nachos…how does this happen ? Could have gone to any other restaurant in town for what we ended up ordering. Will never come back.

Called to make a reservation & was not told the AC was not working (likely wouldn’t have gone in the first place or be leaving this review). The other half of our party had arrived & were seated upstairs, but the hostess informed us that it “is marked down that they haven’t arrived yet.” I let her know that I was actively communicating with one of the party members & they were, in fact, seated upstairs already. Although the table they were seated at already was large enough to accommodate all of us, we were seated downstairs & the hostess went upstairs to tell them to come sit with us with no reason given for the change. We were not properly attended to - entrees were brought out before our waitress had cleared dishes from our appetizers & 4/5 of us were waiting for drink refills. Eventually, we told a different waitress that we needed refills, & 5-10 more minutes passed. At that point, someone at our table went & got a tea pitcher that was sitting on the nearby bar & refilled our cups himself. Food was overpriced & half of us were sweating by the time we left. Very disappointing for our first (& last) visit.

Was not informed AC wasn’t working when we called to make reservations. We were not adequately attended to all night, at one point leading to a member of our party taking a tea pitcher off the nearby bar to refill our glasses himself. Overpriced food.
