Dolan's does a great job with their main menu. I haven't had a meal there that I didn't like. My MAJOR problem, and the reason for 3 stars is that they almost always run out of their dinner specials before 5 pm. This is very frustrating as their main menu is very small and gets boring after a while. Consistently running out of specials almost every day before 5 pm is really annoying!

LOVE Dolan's. Best meats: the pulled pork and the smoked half chicken. Favorite sides: mac n cheese, fries, stew, and green beans. Favorite specials: any of their tacos, any time they have butter beans as a side or broccoli salad, and any salad with their pepper jelly honey mustard dressing (drool). Favorite appetizers/happy hour specials: chicken finger sliders, taquitos, and wings. Favorite drinks: the Dolarita (just a hint of spice!), a cold draft Dos Equis with a lime. It's a fun live music/weekend atmosphere, too. You cannot go wrong here!

BBQ is pretty good if you can get it. Open for dinner service but they usually have a few things run out and they don't tell you until you try to order it, which is frustrating when you've already decided and have to choose something different. If they run out they should tell you before you order or have a sign saying what's available.

We have been in Statesboro for about 7 or 8 months and finally got around to stopping in at Dolan's. We actually heard very good reviews about it from friends and co-workers. However, the day that we went, the ribs tasted like they had been cooked hours before. It actually tasted like ribs you would get from the frozen section at a supermarket just to bring home and cook. And I was much confused as the bread with my order was literally just two pieces of plain white, round-top, bread that was just randomly tossed on the plate. It was not toasted or anything. Other BBQ places I have been to always toast the bread.And then the drink machine. It was clear the Co2 was running out as every drink was too syrupy. We told one of the workers and while she was very nice, she had no clue what we were talking about as she stated that she didn't drink sodas so she didn't know what we were referring. She had to go tell someone in the back. I'm so confused about this one - how do you work at a restaurant and not know about the Co2 in drink machines? We finally just gave up and left.As this is a college town, this place may be best suited for college students that simply don't know any better or don't care. Yet, I would not recommend this establishment to anyone else.

Delicious and tasty food! I'm currently working my way through the menu but definitely addicted to the bbq loaded fries. They are almost too delicious to not order almost every time, plus they are on their happy hour. Atmosphere is always great and love being able to sit on the patio when it's nice outside or there is live music.
