We stopped by last evening and they were not open. It appears they may be closed permanently. Milton's was open, much nicer and very well received. Please read a few of the owner's replies to the many bad reviews here and see clearly he/she has customer service issues and doesn't care about the business enough to update hours of operation.
Great venue with more dance floor than a lot of local establishments. Food is really good, service was fantastic. Great place to hangout and listen to live music.
I have NEVER had such a challenging time getting a hold of someone just to make a reservation. No one EVER answers the phone … same old recording to text or email … and you’ll call us back at YOUR convenience. And when you do, caller ID comes up as Joseph Dakota ???? Not only that, I don’t understand why you need a credit card … why don’t you just write my name and party of 4 for the date I want, like every other place I have ever eaten or visited in the entire world!! The whole things feels really shady. I’m guessing your place is nice and cool, but it can’t be THAT special where you feel you have the right to require credit cards for reservations. Hold a table for 10-15 minutes past time then make it open … like 5-star NY restaurants do.I’ve called like 6 times now and STILL haven’t talked to anyone! We’re tapping out … you win … this party of 4 will go elsewhere.
On our 1st visit, we had a great time, thank you! I didn't expect to dance the night away… it's been a while since I've worn THOSE shoes. Enjoyed the surprise performance by Billy Allen. With a smaller venue, it's hard to deliver a great experience to both dinner party guests, private birthday guests and nightclub patrons. High-top tables would help by allowing you to better view the band through the crowd. Parking is undesirable due to its limits and construction in the area.
Amazing place to have fun. Great staff and owner, and live music was extremely fun. Not ideal for vegetarian food or cocktails, but still a great palce to hang out.
I wanted to love this place, I think they have a great concept, but given the poor execution and expense it isn't worth it. There's a cover charge, drink minimum, and food prices are high for what you get. For a newer building the bathrooms were gross and needed maintenance (it was on par with dive bars I've been to) and the food was lackluster (especially for the price) I tried to play it safe with a burger and fries, but the burger patty was on the small side and lacked flavor and the fries had to have been re-fried twice before landing on my plate because they were burnt and hard. I guess as long as the septaugenarians keep throwing their money around here it'll stay the way it is.
I heard rumors about this place for months. All my friends said it was the best spot in town. Since I can be a pretty miserable guy, I remained skeptical. One evening, I found myself bored with nothing to do. With my wife and kids now gone, the house that was once teeming with joyous love and youthful spirit had become a dungeon of isolation. I needed a pick me up. I decided to give this “best spot in town” a shot. I remember walking up to the venue and hearing the thunderous booms of the drum kit grow louder and louder. I must say, for the first time in years, I felt a nervous sweat form on my brow. As soon as I stepped into Billy Allen’s, I knew that I had found my new home. Old friends laughed and reminisced on good times while enjoying quality brews. New lovers danced to a fantastic live band without a care in the world. I felt overwhelmed and as if I didn’t belong around such happy people. Right as I was about to leave and return to my now empty abode of solitude, I felt a hand on my shoulder. “Hey man, welcome in!” I turned my head and saw him for the first time. It was him. Billy Allen. My God. He was magnificent. I froze like a deer in the headlights. After a brief pause, I regained my composure and offered a nervous greeting. I extended my hand in an attempt to shake his. He looked down at it and back up at my face. It was as if he was disappointed. “At Billy Allen’s, you’re family.” He extended his arms and embraced me with one of the most incredible hugs that I’ve ever felt. My eyes began to water. I was home. I spent the rest of the evening bellowing with laughter and dancing like I never had before. At one point, I saw Billy Allen welcoming in another man who came alone, such as myself. Perhaps another miserable soul. I admit, at first, I was a little envious. But that quickly subsided. I realized that this is just who Billy Allen is. Someone who wants all people to feel loved. A true class act. A renaissance man. God bless you, Billy Allen.
It was a first time visit for us and another couple and we will definitely return. We visited Tuesday night before the music started so that we had time to talk in case it got too loud, but even with the piano music we were able to talk, so not too loud. We also were there for Happy Hour which lasts until 8pm and we got the 1/2 bottle of wine. Craft cocktails were also very good. We loved the live music! Even though the marketing emphasis is on the Live Music, nightclub aspect of the place - we all thought the food was great! We started with two shareable plates - the hot chicken and shrimp skewers. They were both delicious and could have been someone's dinner choice. Then 3 of us got the salmon plates and we had them prepared to different temps and the chef got them spot on! The 4th person had the filet. There was not a crumb left on any of the plates! Billy Allen came over to welcome us and kept checking to make sure everything was alright. He told us his story which is fascinating. There have been some hurdles to getting established in Milton, but as Milton residents we are happy to have this venue available close by to us.
Love this place! Great vibe, tasty drinks, friendly staff, and the music is always top notch. Billy is always there making the rounds and very approachable. So glad we have this place just a couple miles from our home.
We had a reservation for a large group. Confirmed it via open table and with someone who worked there via text. Get there and it was rented out for a private event. If it was rented out then why in the world would you left me book a reservation for a large party a couple weeks in advance? Was chaos. They were very nice about it but come on. This should never have happened.

Lisa was super sweet and accommodating! And her favorite bartender did a great job. Billy Allen seemed to do it all, run the bar, mingle with guests and performed!
We were at a band competition at Milton HS and wanted a bite to eat before a long drive home. A quick Google map search took us to Billy Allen's as a close restaurant with what appeared to be moderate prices. Here is the catch, Google doesn't mention the cover charge since this is more of a night club than a restaurant. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and engaging, the food was good - my wife thought the shrimp pasta was excellent! As a bonus, we were able to catch the end of the GA-TN game. With the cover charge, I think the restaurant was expensive and cost more than the value received hence a 4 star rating. As a night spot, it is probably a good deal with live music and dancing.
It has been a very, very long time since North Fulton had a "go to" spot for good live music! I'm beyond excited to have found Billy Allen's in Milton. This place has it all! A very cool soul, blues, funk and friendly atmosphere where you can dine, dance, drink and listen to live music.I'm so grateful for Billy Allen who has given us this ultimate musical venue.Kudos to his great staff for making us feel right at home. When you visit make sure you meet Awesome Amanda at the bar. She will take such good care of you! This is my new favorite hang out spot for sure!Thank goodness for LIVE MUSIC IN MILTON!
Billy Allen's is an AWESOME night club to venture into. When you enter the club, it's as if you've stepped foot into a kind of UTOPIA. Positive energy is in the atmosphere the whole night. Everyone dances with one another to rhythmic songs being played by the live bands. Carefree socializing indoors and on the patio under the Heavenly sky canopy. The owner Billy Allen is out there in the mix making sure his guests are at home. If you want to experience great drinks, delicious food, fun-filled conversations, lots of dancing, and just ALL-AROUND LOVE in the place, then Billy Allen's in Milton is the place for you. Come on and vibe with Billy at Billy Allen's; Make his place your place, like a home away from home with family and friends you can relax, love and laugh with. ?
Food was good - burger and shrimp and grits both enjoyed. Service was very very slow, and had to ask for refills etc. seems like they have some kinks to work out on the food service side but has potential to be great.
