If you’re a foodie… This is not the place for you. Several items on the menu were not available last evening, service wasn’t great. And they label themselves as seafood cuisine…it’s just a regular “Asian fusion restaurant. Nothing special about the menu. Appetizers were pretty standard.

La Mer is a beautifully designed space with a nice ambience. The service was very good throughout our meal. The cocktail selection is terrific, and we enjoyed our drinks. However, the food menu and quality need work. The menu includes a nice list of appetizers, most of which sound very good. We had the bbq oysters ($20 for 6). We were surprised at how tiny the oysters were - one was literally the size of my pinkie nail. In some cases, when oysters are particularly smalll, restaurants will include an additional oyster in the serving. I'm not sure why the kitchen didn't do that of just find a bigger oyster. However, the preparation was delicious. The menu includes about 5 main entrees-4 seafood and 1 chicken. The price for most is $39. The preparations were confusing- a combination of Asian and Cajun. We ordered 2 of the seafood entrees and they were very lackluster. Both were warm (just barely) and had undercooked broccolini with a sweetish Asian seasoning that was not very appetizing. Both seafood dishes had more of a Cajun style seasoning but should have been cooked and seasoned better. For $39 , the entrees need to be incredible. It was definitely not worth the money for us, but the restaurant has promise and could be great with a few adjustments.

We had a great time at La Mer Seafood! Was our first time. The service was excellent with great recommendations by the waiters. The food was excellent. We enjoyed our evening and did not feel rushed.

This new restaurant deserves every five star review! We came here for a date night and absolutely loved it! I am not typically a very adventurous eater or a seafood lover, so I initially found the menu to be daunting. I ended up taking a leap of faith and trusting the chef to know what he's doing, and I do not regret it one bit! I'd happily eat anything off the menu here, which not something I'd easily say about any restaurant. This was by far one of the most delicious meals we've had in years. The service, cocktails, atmosphere, and food were all on point. The presentation was absolutely beautiful. Cocktails were amazing and well executed (loved the Gin'tle Kiss cocktail). Food was fresh, vibrant, and delicious. We particularly enjoyed the Bayou Fish. Everyone go support this new restaurant - you will NOT be disappointed! We will definitely be back!

This place was incredible!! The service was top notch. The food was some of the best in the area. We had egg rolls, calamari, crab claws for appetizers! The crab claws were so good my daughter ordered them for her dinner as well. The beef dish and fried rice were great. We also had the lobster. The cocktails were tasty.

Great new place to eat in Milton. Menu is a mix of Asian, seafood and other. The place is beautifully decorated and the ambiance is super cool. The wait staff pays attention and the service is great. The food was good and we had the crab fingers, filet bowl and sea bass and chocolate mousse. They are still working out some kinks, so I am hopeful that in a few months they will be at perfection. The manager made up for any oversteps and it's definitely a place to check out. My bill was around $100 with no alcohol.

The fish was on par with old fashioned cafeteria food. No one in our party of 3 was impressed. The ambience is nice and the service was fine, but they need to elevate the food to match what that area expects.

We decided to give this new local spot a try but unfortunately our experience fell flat. The service and ambiance were great. Grey was very attentive and was very polite. The food has changed since it opened. We had their version of fried rice which was lacking in seafood, which was plentiful on our first visit there. The Sea Bass was very fresh but unfortunately was overwhelmed by the butter on the potatoes and broccoli. We saw the owner hanging at the bar but he never made the rounds to welcome guests or check on the patrons. Very odd for a new restaurant trying to get its footing in the area. Unfortunately, this was a “miss” for us.

The restaurant was out of most cocktail mixers. The drinks they could make were terrible and $15.00 each. The gumbo had one shrimp and some rice. Also $15.00. Three appetizers and one entre was $250.00 before the tip. We won't go back

I think La Mer is a great addition to the area. I get the fried rice infused with shrimp and crab each time. The owner is great and takes care of his patrons. I’ve been a few times. The wine tasting and pairing is a fab experience & great deal! I’m not naive to think that there can be a meal that’s a miss from time to time as that’s just life, but I’m fortunate to not have experienced it. I hope all these small business owners make it despite the negative and cheap people.

What an amazing place! We live in downtown Alpharetta and decided to explore downtown Milton. Sleepy little area with nice restaurants and shops. We literally stumbled into La Mer and decided to have dinner there. Wow did we luck out. We were seated quickly. Our waiter (Grey) was so welcoming and attentive. The ambience was excellent. Decor stylish and tasteful. Music was perfect and relaxing. The food was just fantastic. From the crab fingers appetizer, to our main plates to the desserts, we didn’t have a single bad bite. Everything was on point. Delicious doesn’t quite describe how much we enjoyed our meal. To cap it off, Tan (owner/chef) was an impeccable host. He came over to our table, made sure everything was to our liking and thanked us for our patronage. How often does that ever happen?? Overall, we left La Mer not just satisfied but THRILLED at having had such a great meal and experience. I immediately sent texts to local family urging them to go to La Mer. I know I will be back often!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our experience at La Mer Seafood was absolutely amazing! The decor and ambiance were perfect, creating a wonderful atmosphere for our meal. The full bar added a personal touch with its amazing drinks. We couldn't decide on just one appetizer because everything looked so good, so we ended up trying several, and none of them disappointed. Despite it being a seafood place, the Lemongrass Chicken dish was the best thing I've ever tasted! My wife had a fish dish and loved it as well. The prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality of food and service. We can't wait to go back, and even though it will be hard to order something other than the chicken dish, I'm excited to try other items on the menu. The service was excellent, with quick delivery of food and drinks, and the location is fantastic. Highly recommended!

Very cool space. Food was good but wasn't incredible. We had the beef stir fry and seafood stir fry in addition to drinks and crab won ton apps. Best item we had all night was the lemon dessert.

The owner, Thanh, sat with us and told us his story and how he came to Milton with the cuisine he developed on the Gulf coast. The food was outstanding, the barman outstanding, and our server (ask for Gray with an A) outstanding. Worth a 30-45 minute drive to get a unique seafood meal unlike anything in north Atlanta. There is no "set menu". The owner always looking for new types of fish, shell fish, meat products, etc. Have been a number of times and almost every time there is something new.
